Go at off-peak times

Weekends and evenings are often the most convenient times to go to the movies, but you may be able to save by going in the afternoon for a matinee screening. Try to find out if your movie theater offers any special discounts for going to a movie on a specific day or time.

Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays are said to be the best days to go to the cinema, as you get to enjoy the movie in an almost empty theatre. Mornings or early afternoons through these 3 days are when you should go for the ultimate ”private screening” feeling. You and a few others will have the place to yourselves.

As previously mentioned, booking airfare on Sunday is cheaper than other days of the week, especially Fridays. Be willing to fly mid-week.
