Read this F.A.Q While the rom is Downloading.

NOTES :​

- After installation, leave your phone to build and optimize caches. which can take upto 15 minutes on clean flash. your phone will be HOT at this stage. If DirtyFlashing, it can take upto 30mins

- Clean flash is always recommended to avoid issues especially with this release! if you faced weird issues/blackscreens/freezes a clean flash is recommended.

- This ROM is built to be installed on the STOCK partition layout, and utilizes both CACHE and ODM partitions for bloatware, repartition or any modification that reduces/removes these partitions will cause issues.

- Latest TWRP is recommended, however anything 3.3 onwards will be fine.

- The default AROMA Configuration will work fine on all variants, however for Korean variants you dont have much flexibility to select everything (I.e Voice Assistant + BixVision + Routines would fail).

- Updating Bixby Vision / Routines from the Galaxy App store will break them so disable auto updates (For bixby vision / vision framework and routines if you use it)

- All of the custom kernel features can be controlled using HKTweaks by @corsicanu
- For All the supported features, MoroSound and more in depth tuning use xxTM Manager by @xxmustafacooTR

Debug :
- The Aroma installer contains a helper that will print the available space in partitions of intrest

• If the installation was successful, you will see "Success: All Partitions completed Minimum Size check" and the ROM should boot just fine.
• If the installation was unsuccessful, it will tell you which partition was low on space, if it was VENDOR, ODM or CACHE then you are flashing with a repartition script and you must revert it beforehand.
• If the installation was unsuccessful and it said SYSTEM was low on space, that means you picked too much bloatware, start with default and go from there.
• If the installation showed cache symlink fail, it means you selected too much bloatware

- A common cause of problems is installing Bixby Vision, Routines and a big mod like TextExtractor, this will fail on Korean variants, instead you can install 2 of 3 and so on
- On non Korean variants, there is enough space to fit almost every component (Give or take 1120 Fonts Mod)

Q : The ROM wont flash and says Partitions have been modified
A : This is the pre-setup check, if it fails it means your partitions are too small / have been modified previously, Go to This link and follow the guide

Q : How to ROOT?
A :
- ApolloKernel ships with 2 variants, NonRooted and Rooted with KernelSU.
- To use KernelSU, download the manager from here or latest version (and download the KernelSU_v***.apk)
- And you are set, go to superuser and add the apps you want to have ROOT.

Alternative :
- If you wish to use Magisk, i recommend installing the non ksu variant of Apollo and flashing Magisk normally.

Q : How to switch to permissive?
A : This ROM is made with enforcing in mind, however you can switch to permissive using `setenforce 0` command in termux (requires root).

Q : SafetyNet / Banking?
A : The ROM has full cts + play integrity out of the box with/without kernelSU and can use Google Pay and Banking apps.
- Only exception is intrusive apps that check for OEM Lock or USB Debugging (can be disabled however).

Q : Build 17 ? ApolloV5 ? why not 1.0?
A : Since this project has been in development since ~2020, re-setting revision will conflict with my build enviroment.

Q : Can you change 3D Touch options after flashing ?
A : The easiest way is to just reflash and pick the options you prefer, Alternatively you can adjust it with xxTm Manager

Q : Does this support X?
A : This ROM supports Exynos9810 S9/S9+ And Note 9 International/Korean variants and does not support Snapdragon models.

Q : The ROM is not booting
A : Likely the aroma mentioned that space check failed, reconsider bloatware or use default.
- Alternative : if you used repartition scripts, revert them.

Q : Device is running too hot
A : If it was just set-up, Give it time and make sure everything is up-to-date.

Q : What to do after the rom is setup ?
A : Go to samsung apps, let the phone update everything except Bixby Vision/VisionFramework/Routines if you selected it.

Q : Long boot times?
A : Due to mandatory Framework modification, the ROM will re-optimize every few reboots / consecutive reboots.
