Nice little place the locals sure seem to love. I was nearly steamrolled by a mob of senior citizens when the doors opened at 5 pm, so I knew we were in the right spot. That said, the food was pretty good. Definitely, the best food we have had during our time on Jekyll Island. Our server was awesome and super friendly as well. Amazing peach cobbler to finish our meal.

My wife and my first trip to Jekyll Island and its been great. Searched a couple different restaurants to go to and settled on Driftwood Bistro. It had a bit of a wait (Friday at 7pm) of 20-30minutes but we got a drink and checked the menu while we waited.I got the blackened shrimp & grits with sweet potato souffle & my wife got the pot roast w mashed potatoes & gravy, along w squash casserole.As the picture shows, AMAZING. I would pass on the sweet potato and stick w the squash.Marc was our server, super nice dude and he did recommend the squash, however I chose otherwise.We finished w the peach cobbler. Very tasty.Recommended food: Blackened shrimp & grits, pot roast, squash casserole & peach cobbler.PS. I have no idea why anyone would complain about the food, was really, really awesome.

Wow! What a wonderful experience! Even though we had to wait an hour and 20 minutes to be seated, we met some lovely people who recommended the rum punch for a drink. I got one and enjoyed it which made the wait go by a little faster. Once we were seated, our orders were promptly taken. I enjoyed the stuffed collard greens and absolutely loved the squash casserole! Definitely get the squash casserole when you’re there, you won’t regret it. The fried green tomatoes weren’t bad either. My friend got the stuffed flounder with Mac n cheese and okra and really enjoyed her food too. Then the lovely people we met earlier ended up picking up our tab (if you end up reading this thanks again so much! We really appreciated it! :) and Guiedo the host was super friendly and gave us a breakfast recommendation for our stay here. We just had such a wonderful experience here with real southern hospitality! We will be back when back in the area!

Nice quiet dining experience. Food was good for pre-prepped fare. The squash casserole is excellent. We were a little disappointed in the service. The staff were not friendly, maybe they were just having a bad day.

We went in at 6, with a party of 20. We were told that the wait would be 3 hours, at 9. With such a large group, we totally understood. Anyway, I knew that they closed at 9, so I asked if they could still serve us at that time. She assured me that as long as my name was on the Wait List, they will serve us at 9. They even sent me a text message, confirming my 9pm seating.Well.... 10 minutes later I received a call telling me that 9pm was too late. I stated that I asked that very same question, and was assured that we would be served. That ignorant, rude little girl hung up on me!!!At this point, I'm really upset. No, to be honest, I was pissed totally off!!I returned to the restaurant to find out why they changed their minds about serving us, after assuring me that they could take us at 9. According the "Front Desk", the manager made the decision not to serve us. I wonder if it was the way we looked. I saw "me" working in there, but I didn't see me eating there.I told them that I would be writing a review about this negative experience. That same ignorant, rude little girl said "Go ahead and do it!" So, here you go Lil' girl. Here ya go!!My advice.... take your business elsewhere!

We love Jekyll Island, and we really love seafood! The Driftwood Bistro answered the call for us. They had delicious wild caught Ga shrimp, and the stuffed flounder was amazing! They also have a full bar with lots of yummy specialty drinks. I can’t recommend the Bistro enough!

Hands down the best place to eat on the island!! Delicious food, friendly service and THE BEST drinks around! The bartender “Ashley” is the bomb!! You’ve got to try the Cask and Crew!

All of the servers are exceptionally friendly! Expect a wait during a weekend evening, so come before 5:45p or after 7:15p for less waiting on a table. Food was excellent and the atmosphere is upscale yet relaxed. I would love to try some additional dishes in the future!

It's so popular and only opens at 5pm so it's a bit of a rush to get seated and served. While the servers don't really hurry you on, they don't seem to let you take time to sit and enjoy either. Green beans were just ok. Meatloaf was good but I'd get it without gravy next time. The bourbon peach cobbler was tasty but really just tasted like regular cobbler. I did hear someone else say the stuffed flounder was good. They didn't NOT accept reservations or call ahead seating. Wings were EXCELLENT.

We walked in on a Saturday night a little before 6pm to find it packed but with no line (we expected one based on previous reviews). We were seated after a short wait. The service is very positive and friendly who work as a cohesive team. (= 5)The value for money here is amazing (=5) I couldnot believe the $19 price for what they label a bottle of premium wine. (Most places charge a 2.5-4x markup) Also I love that you can order a petite or regular platter that still affords you the opportunity to sample 2 of the ~20 classic southern sides. The food was very tasty. The ambience is upbeat and lively (5). So glad we tried our luck to dine here impromptu.

We were staying at Villas by the Sea and, decided to eat here out of convenience. We put our name on the wait list at 530pm and were told an hour and fifteen minute wait. We were finally seated at 715pm. Thank God we were able to monitor the wait list from our condo as the waiting area was PACKED and the gnats outside were horrendous!Our server was great, appeared quickly, got us drinks, and took our order. The food came out in a timely manner, but our drinks were ignored until we were almost finished eating. The adult meals are fantastic! One of the kids got the "kids fried shrimp" and it literally came with THREE shrimp!! I ended up sharing my meal with him because he was still hungry.The restaurant doesn't give a "bistro" vibe, it gives a "let's cram as many tables in this tiny space vibe". It's super noisy.Honestly, unless you're staying at VBTS, I don't get the hype. I'm just glad we didn't have to hunt a parking space.

Delicious! I had pot roast which was perfectly seasoned and yummy mashed potatoes. My husband had the wild shrimp and grits. He more than loved it. Best meal we had on Jekyll. I’m a pretty picky eater, a previous a server and hostess. Believe me when I say this place does it all right. The staff was swamped with a 45 minute wait and were still so kind and courteous. We ate at the bar which was fun. We had lots of time to ask questions and try the signature co*cktails. Yummy.

Great food and we got there right at 5 so did not have to wait long. Service was great!Update 2/2/24: We came back again and had the same great food and service. We arrived 10 minutes til 5:00 and we were seated in the first group. Service did seem a little rushed but food was great for everyone in the party.

I can't speak highly enough about this restaurant!!! If you have any non-seafood lovers in your group...this is the must-go place to eat. The service was amazing, food an absolute culinary delight, and the atmosphere surprisingly quaint. 5 of us tried a wide range of dishes that rocked the taste buds. We will be back...no doubt.

The family and I were our strolling around looking at the beautiful, huge oaks surrounding the Resort. There is ample parking beside the restaurant. We decided to stop by The Wharf for a late afternoon snack. Our kids were quite cranky, but our waitress, Carrie, I think, was just absolutely delightful and so patient with them. She had these lovely turtle earrings that grabbed their attention and she quickly delivered snacks to distract them. She also chatted with us about our visit and recommended where we could visit to have turtles swim up to us. So cool! We got the maple glazed salmon that was on a bed of kale. There were also raisin and pecans on it as well. We also got sweet potato fries. We paid about $40 for the snack, before tip, but it was delicious. Highly recommend going, especially for the wonderful service.

Long wait, but wanted outdoor seating, which is limited as we expected. We had plenty of time to use the facilities and enjoy a nice adult beverage seated at the bar while we waited for our table. Beautiful view! Lunch menu seemed limited, but that's the norm for most places. Food was great, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Very relaxed atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

TLDR - food is nothing special, but the location is beautiful.Food: it wasn’t bad, but it was nothing special. Nothing seemed particularly unique or refined. What we did have was well prepared though. Surprisingly, there’s very little locally sourced seafood on the menu. The only semi-local item was Georgia white shrimp they’re using in a couple dishes.Location: great location. Just about every seat has a view of the bay. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. You can hang out on the dock while you wait for a table. They had a surprisingly good live band playing too. Like seriously good.

The Wharf bar and restaurant on Jekyll Island, Georgia is an informal place to eat or just have a drink at the bar. While it’s location is spectacular, the food can be a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, generally it is a fun place to relax with friends or family.Don’t bother to ask for a plastic straw as our waitress said they were trying to save the large sea turtles in the nearby waters.The loud music blasting from overhead speakers was a constant nuisance, but aside from that I have no complaints about The Wharf.Prices are moderate. Free WiFi is available, and credit cards are accepted.

We had a great lunch here! Drinks are awesome and flavorful. Low country boil was seasoned well and boiled perfectly. Fish and chips are some of the best I've had! Would definitely cone back here again. Pet friendly patio as well!

The Wharf on Jekyll Island- Beautiful window table scenery (we went at sunset.) The food was delicious! My blackened salmon was to perfection...(💋) Taste and Seasoned just right! My sides were garlic eggs (you get 4!) and collards. My husband's flounder was HUGE! He couldn't finish it all. The only downside was the parking toll of $10 to get on the island. That would not have been so bad had we made a day of it. We only went to eat and paying that much for an hour...sheesh. I won't complain too much because we got a $10 off of our food because we paid with a Navy Federal Card.

After working with middle schooler all day, Susannah took great care of us. Dear I say she me be the best waiter on Jekyll Island. Food was great! View was amazing! Ate on the outside deck. Make sure to go while the sun is setting.

Great concept, but the food is absolutely disgusting(mainly because of the sulfur water that they use in the area). The food has no seasoning, it’s overpriced, tastes awful, and they give you very little. I ordered like the seafood boil which had a plate of potatoes/corn/shrimp(decent)/clams/and one cluster of a snow crab(decent).The atmosphere and the waitress were nice. The only thing that was edible was the shrimp and snow crab. I highly suggest because of the nasty water in the area, lack of seasoning, being overpriced and not giving you enough food, to not come to this restaurant.

Stopped into The Wharf for dinner tonight. We had a table with a great view. Our waitress, Amy, was fantastic. She recommended the smoked fish dip. It was tasty. I highly recommend the drink that is a play on a margarita as well. If you like grapefruit and margaritas, you are going to love it.

We went on Sunday. Would go again freshest oysters we have had in a long time. Had saltwater still in the shells. Delicious! Our server Kat was awesome! Great place for sunset.

Four. Stars because I’m not sure about the floor. They are sticky. When I drop my napkin, I found other debris on the floor. And asked for paper napkins. Other than that it’s a great restaurant beautiful ambience, beautiful pier definitely relaxing and very good food. My wife got the Mahi tacos. She said they were delicious. I got the double cheeseburger. It was an average double cheeseburger. The patties look like they were probably frozen. The fish on the tacos were definitely fresh. Actually, I took a bite of her tacos and it was delicious! Yes, I would recommend this place with a? Concerning the sticky floors. By the way, my wife says I’m being a picky eater the older I get.

They don't let walk-ins sit at the white tables. You have to reserve them even if no-one is there. Dumb. There were ten tables empty by the water and they refused to let anyone sit there. Instead we had to sit at the brown table top with bird goop on it. No one cleans it. No-one stopped to say hello. We had to get someone. The food is just okay. The live band and beautiful sunset saved them.

Perfect outside seating for a casual lunch and the weather was great. Had the peel & eat shrimp, oysters on half shell and the fried corn riblets. All was all very good! The corn was new to us. It was strips of corn that included a thin strip of cob, deep fried & seasoned well. You hold them like ribs to eat and we really liked them.Thanks to Josh for taking good care of us that day!

Had a very nice meal. Patio was a bit buggy so moved inside. Food was good. A good selection of local brews. Beautiful view of the sunset and the bridge to St Simon. Well recommended.

I want to give this place four or five stars; the food was good, and the view was lovely, but no one will answer the phone or return my call. I’ve called at least 5 times and left two voicemails.

Had a delicious meal here a few weeks ago before the evening dolphin boat tour (also great).Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Couldn't ask for more! (sorry, I forgot his name!)I had the shrimp and grits and my wife had the seafood chowder. Both were excellent. The hushpuppies were delicious but a few of them were overcooked.They also had a live band (in March!) that absolutely brought the whole experience together.Nobody should complain about prices. They're easily available online and on par with what I expect for any nice waterfront restaurant. There are less expensive options on the island for anyone who wants them!

There aren't enough stars to give this place! The outdoor seating area is right on the water, so hopefully you like birds because they will visit your table :) . I had the seafood mac & cheese and it was AMAZING!! Incredibly flavorful and the shrimp in it are huge! My husband had the fish and chips and holy WOW that Cod was FABULOUS!!! This place is just a tad pricey but it is 100% worth it!

Love the atmosphere and the location. We went on a Wednesday night for an earlier dinner, we got a seat right away in the tiki area and got our food very quickly. The view is beautiful and even though it was hot out it was breezy and we stayed cool. Our server was polite but pretty slow getting back to us and we had to wait a really long time to order then again to get our check. The food was okay. My kids are not picky and always finish their food-however here none of them finished. My teen ordered chili cheese fries and said they were the worst she has ever had, tasted like they dumped a can of chili sauce on top. My son orders the kids nachos with chicken and the chicken did not taste good, he said he didn’t really like them. My other teen ordered nachos which were okay but really lacked on toppings so she ended up with mostly a basket of chips. My fish tacos were okay but the greatest and my rice was dry-my husband didn’t even eat his rice. Prices were a bit high for a Mexican place especially when we ended up not even eating half our food. We did enjoy the atmosphere and the live music.

We asked for dining recommendations at a local attraction, and the only restaurant she was familiar with was Tortuga Jacks.Bless her for the recommendation! The food was delicious, and the service was amazing. Everything was seasoned well, looked appealing, and tasted wonderful. We sat on the outside patio, which was busy but not super crowded. Inside seating seemed to be plentiful but not as popular in the beautiful weather. This restaurant will definitely be added to our go again list.

We ate at Tortuga Jacks today for lunch. It was very pleasant. My Husband had Enchiladas and I had a Rice Bowl with Shredded Chicken. The atmosphere was nice and the Staff was friendly. We got a treat because our Server was Consuela a Robotic Server. Fun place to enjoy lunch or dinner.

This place blows my mind. The fish tacos were some of the best I’ve ever tasted (Florida girl here) and the view was something out of this world. The corn on the cob… I’ll never eat it another way! What a great place to end my travel assignment in GA. Pure bliss! Thanks for a great night! I’ll be back!

This is such a perfect place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. It is definitely worth going if you want to eat outdoors and have wonderful ocean view. You will not be disappointed. This is a nice peaceful place to eat. This is one of the you have to try once. If yo don't get food you can alway just enjoy a drink from the bar with an ocean view.

We come here often, and every time, it's always been a good idea! This time, we grabbed a bite to eat after spending a few hours swimming and relaxing on the beach, so we chose to take advice out their outside eating area. Unfortunately, we were done right before the live music was scheduled to play...

It's nothing special.The food is simple and without much quality, although you can eat it, the service is mediocre, without much interest in the customer and the cleanliness of the tables could be improved, they don't try very hard.This day it was very hot and several of the fans in the patio were not working, so it was a bit unpleasant here.There was live music that day, and they sounded great.The parking lot fills up quickly at peak times.It's okay to have a drink with a snack and listen to music, nothing more.

The biggest positive about this place is that it is right on the ocean. After that the "positives" are limited. We were on Jekyll Island for several days and went here for a late lunch. My wife asked for a beer in a chilled glass and got a plastic cup. No warning that it wasn't an actual glass. They have NO glass containers. I ordered tacos and they were average. I got a draft beer and that was $8. That's baseball stadium prices. My wife ordered fish & chips. Instead of fries and slab of fish, she got fries and fish sticks. That was $18. I understand it's right on the ocean, and that has to be taken in to account with the pricing. I don't like writing negative reviews but, this place was very underwhelming. Lower your expectations before you go there, and you will probably be fine.

Delicious food and drinks. Service was great. The place was absolutely slammed with customers and the wait time was reasonable and everything came out great. The live musician was a tad rough — pretty terrible guitar player with lots of mistakes.

Wife and I visited Tortuga Jack's on Jekyll for a Sunday afternoon dinner. We were seated outside quickly and our server, Scott, was freindly and attentive. Our food came out incredibly fast! Setting outside by the ocean was very nice. The quality if the food however was so-so at best for the price. A bit to processed and dry. The atmosphere was beach casual fun but a bit over the top with slogans and tee-shirts.

The best spot on Jekyll Island for great margaritas and beach view. They also have live music but not sure on which days. Def sit on the bar if you can find a spot there. House margs are cheap here considering being on an island and they don’t give you hangover the next day. The food are typical chain Mexican food, not authentic but they are good.

We love Tortuga Jacks! We normally enjoy lunch or dinner here, but we also tried their breakfast for the first time. The breakfast eggs benedict was okay, but we wish we'd tried something else that was recommended. We enjoy their peel & eat shrimp the most, but also like the shrimp diablo & chicken chimi (chicken can be a bit bland sometimes though). A full bar is available both inside and out. They offer indoor seating, but also have a large partially covered deck that looks out at the ocean (dog friendly). Often, there is live music on the deck which is very enjoyable. Plenty of parking and ample seating.

The food was good but I can't believe the little container of guacamole was $8. The chips and salsa were complimentary so the $8 was just the little container, we didn't even get extra chips with it. The rest of the food was good. The service was pleasant but could have been more attentive. We had to ask for everything including napkins.

Ok, so this is a review specifically for breakfast. I have to admit I hadn't been to Tortuga Jack's before, but knew it is a baja Mexican, beach bar kinda place and so, I had lower expectations. Breakfast was spot on delicious, portion sizes were satisfying, the service was good, although there were not many customers there at the time in the morning that we were. We ate on the deck and had nice views of the beach and that nice ocean breeze.All in all, it was pretty Great!

We first got here on Friday and we had dinner at tortuga and we knew we would he back for a 2nd meal. The dinner was fantastic, but the breakfast was probably our favorite on the island! Rebecca was our server and she was phenomenal! I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone!!!

Our first time and it was superb. We had a 15 minute wait, but grabbed a menu to view and decide our grub before being seated. Our waitress was Rebecca and man she was spot on with our orders. She was excellent with my kids too. Can. Not wait to go back to Jekyll.

We ordered the Veggie burrito and Veggie tacos, both were excellent. Waiter was nice but not overly attentive. Food was delicious and quick to the table.

What a fun spot. Sitting outside with a view of the ocean was fantastic. We loved the oldster rock band. The burritos 🌯 and tacos were huge and yummy. We had fun. The top shelf Patron margaritas 🍹 were mighty fine. We had to wait 10 minutes for a table.

We went for breakfast after sunrise at Driftwood Beach. Everything was really good, especially the cheese grits and crispy home fries 😋

Nice treat on the island. The food is a great option for when you want more than sandwiches but less than a fancy steakhouse...and the food flavors are good, too! We had the nachos, the fajitas, and the enchiladas and they did not disappoint. The service was excellent also.

We walked up and ordered pizza and salad to go, and it was awesome! We played on their beautiful playground with our son while we waited for the pizza to be prepared. Took the food back to our hotel and enjoyed a delicious, low-key dinner. This is our second time to enjoy food here, and we plan to return each time we visit the area. Thank you for a great dinner!

Yummy food. Pretty amazing joint out on the island. You have to try the Alfredo cheesy bread. Delicious. I’d give it 5 stars but the staff was quite disorganized and it was a bit chaotic. Would come back for sure.

Loved it! Took a minute to find due to Maps & pure user error, but once we did it was easy. They deliver! So you may want to go that route. Located beside the putt-putt and playground, the restaurant is the small brick building to the side. Perfect location for a longer wait. It has a walk up window for take-out and a few picnic tables for eating outside. They do have a dining room and full menu, but it wasn't open when we arrived (a Tuesday at 7:00 PM). Nevertheless they were packed. We saw their delivery driver come and go at least 4 times while were there. Each time loaded down with boxes and bags of garlicky goodness. My party ordered a Greek salad to share and it was one of the best I've had in a while. Lots of feta cheese, delicious olives, and the dressing was amazing. We also ordered a small pepperoni for a teen- it had about 6 slices and was so good she ate all but one. The adults shared a Red Bug Special and it was delicious. Crispy crust and so loaded with toppings they fell off. It was so good that 2 hours later we raided the fridge and shared another slice before bedtime. If you love a good cold pizza the next day, this is your spot! We can't wait to go back, but will do delivery so we can stay at the beach and enjoy the sunset with our slices!

A little tricky to find without a GPS but a nice, quaint little restaurant. Outdoor dining and a take out window are the first thing you'll notice. Once inside there's a bar fireplace and tables. Once seated we were attended to quickly. We both were in a pizza mood. Ordered the thin crust over hamd tossed. The food arrived very quickly and was delicious. If/when we come back to Jekyll Island we will definitely stop in again.

Cool little Pizzeria. The atmosphere was like taking a trip in time. The food is delicious. We had the cheese bread and a large pizza. Service was top notch, and the food came out fast. Definitely a must go to if on Jekyll.

We ordered Pizza and got it delivered. One of the two pizzas( Veggie) arrived with a piece missing. See the picture! Called the pizza place and they simply refused to believe. He said he would believe if the pizza had stuff on it like hair but not that a piece was bitten out! Regret giving 20% tip. Should have checked before accepting or tipping. The only thing the owner would say is that we can give you a new pizza... And what, wait another hour!!! BTW, the pizza that we did eat wasn't that great either. It wasn't horrible, but not great either.

Great food and excellent customer service! They’re right next to the putt putt course, so easy to locate. Haven’t had a bad meal there! Excellent pizza and Greek salad. And the owner is a very kind person! He had six pizzas delivered to my kid’s soccer game. They have a great playground for the kids too!

So adorable and cozy! Lisa was an excellent server and such a hard worker! The calzone was the best I have ever had. So delish! Our best meal on the island for sure!

We showed up unfortunately 15 minutes before it closed and to our surprise weren't turned away even when they found out we were a party of 10 and not two. The staff was gracious and funny and it really made my husband's night, since it was his birthday and it was the only place he wanted t.p eat. Thank you to everyone at red bugs pizza for making a special night even more remarkable.

I stayed on Jekyll for 3 nights and I ended up eating here twice it was so good!! Closest you'll get to brick oven quality pizza without the brick oven. The crust was nice and crispy and the veggies were fresh and generously topped on the pizza. The cheese sticks were very good as well. Even when they were busy, it wasn't a very long wait for the pizza to be ready.The only suggestion would be to add more tables on the deck - it seemed there was room around the corner of the building to do so. The deck was nicely shaded. The tables on the grass had ants all around, much like the rest of the island, so a patio or deck table was highly preferred. There was a playground and mini golf next door which is great for people with kids.I will absolutely eat here again next time I travel to Jekyll Island!!

This is a great place to go after mini golf. They have a decent selection of both bottle and beers. The pizza was great as well as our bartender Lisa. Great place to go for a quick bite and an ice cold beer after playing 18 on the big boy links or 18 on the mini golf links⛳.

Best pizza I have had in a long time!! We had calzones and cheese bread ( I ate a piece prior to picture lol) both were delicious. Ophy was our server and she was very attentive even though she was super busy. My glass was never empty and she kept us updated on food which came very fast! Highly recommend and will be back next time we come to Jekyll Island.

Great little pizza shop. Husband and I got the traditional pep pizza with a salad each (small Ceasar and small side) and the Alfredo cheese bread. Everything tasted fantastic and the portion sizes were huge. The guy at the window was friendly and helpful. Watch your trash if you eat outside. Thanks for a filling lunch in a relaxing atmosphere. 👍

There's not a lot to go on about Red Bug. Walk up order window to place an order. Pizza was okay, not great, but edible. Can't speak about the atmosphere because the dining area was closed. Turkey sandwich was okay served with Ruffles. Hot Wings were good. If we come back, we may give it another try and see if we can sit inside for a meal.

Bit disappointed, didn't get the full menu. I was looking for more of the seafood menu during lunch. Bit spendY for burgers and fries.

Came for the Saturday music and brunch. Ate the corsair omelette with sausage, cheddar cheese, and mushrooms. We substituted a small salad in place of the potatoes. Personally, the egg of the omelette was a bit to fluffy with either water pr something added. The ingredients were excellent. The salad was fresh, crispy and a delightful side. Loved the pickled onions. Jordan, our server, was very accommodating and attentive. The guitar player was really good and gave us the ambiance that we desired.We'd definitely return when in the area.

Eighty Ocean is a gem! The ambiance was quaint and elegant and the service was by far the best we've experienced on Jekyll Island. The best part - the food! From specials to regular menu staples, each course was incredible - we might go back again before we leave this week!

Brunch was really solid! Well prepared & presented. Eggs Benedict was different, but in a good way. Rate it 9/10. Asked for potatoes well done, came out just like that. Definitely fresh prepared, not processed.Service pacing was off, very nice and hospitable, just need training on timing of approaching table throughout service.

My wife and I had the pleasure of celebrating our anniversary at 80 ocean. Gabriella was an incredible server and made the night extra special! If you like steak, I highly recommend the New York strip. It had a wonderful crust and was cooked perfectly! We will definitely be back to see Gabriella!

Nine family members had dinner at Eight Ocean last night. We had reservations and a very nice table set up on their patio. Unfortunately, that’s where the good feedback ends. I cannot recall our server’s name because he was so nonexistent. We waited way too long for our food that wasn’t worth waiting five minutes for. In a place where shrimp should always be fresh and wonderful theirs was not and the cornbread tasted like it came from a Jifffy box. Lastly, it is an expensive outing with entrees in the $30s. Even on this small island you can find better places for the price or less - -The Wharf and Driftwood Bistro. Don’t bother wasting your time at Eight Ocean for dinner.

Bree our server was great. Ben the Bartender was great. The food was great. The restaurant was so dark you couldn’t see the menu. You couldn’t see the food. It’s tasted good but you couldn’t see it. The entire restaurant was using phone flashlights. I’ve eaten in places all over the US and many countries. This was absurd. Apparently the manager thinks this is ambience. It was comical. You enjoy food first with your eyes. The chef should know his plating means nothing if you can’t see it. Fire the manager or teach him how to use a light switch. It is an embarrassment to such a beautiful space with such amazing food.

High quality and cool how you can see the kitchen but not the best tasting and really expensive. Lobster in the mac and cheese was great but the noodles had barely any sauce and wasn’t much more than buttered elbow noodles.

This was a surprise...my wife had the New York strip (best strip I have ever had... tender and tasty). I had the special, which was a white fish over pureed mushrooms... went out on a limb with that choice, but I was pleasantly surprised. Service was great and I had the beer flight for drinks...so that was fun to try while waiting for our food. Views are ok... typical Jekyll Island view of overgrown dunes. Over good experience and would be a top choice for dinner on Jekyll.

This is a beautiful restaurant, modern coastal vibe with a fine-casual menu. It was the perfect spot to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Las provided great service for us and the bartender made us some tasty whiskey co*cktails. We both enjoyed our appetizer, entrees and dessert, we will be back!

Eighty Ocean is a wonderful place to have brunch on the weekend while in Jekyll Island! Tasty food, healthy options, and great drinks! Our server was awesome! He really worked hard to make sure we had an enjoyable lunch experience. He even comped one of our drinks because he thought it did not come out fast enough. How rare and awesome is that!! We really appreciated the courtesy and his consideration. This restaurant has a very large bar and lots of window seating with a great view of the pool outside. It's definitely a nice spot for a meal or just to come in for drinks at the bar.

The atmosphere is very nice. Prices are on the mid to higher price range which is to be expected since in Ocean Club, nice facility. Our service was terrible. We were seatedRight away. It took 15 minutes before someone came to take our drink order.Took another 10 minutes to get our drinks.I ordered a Vanilla Latte. It was not hot. All coffees were not hot. After 1 hour we were about to leave and go somewhere else. We were told our food was about to be plated. We waited. 15 minutes later still waiting. Finally we get our food. Daughter ordered waffles. Supposedly comes with whipped cream. Server says No, doesn’t come that way. Menu says it does! She got 2 waffles the size of a donut. I would haveExpected 4 that size for the price. So small they were served on a saucer. Breakfast sandwich tasted like a microwaved frozen sandwich. We had to ask for refills. We asked for ticket. Took 10 minutes for them to complete that. We wasted so much time waiting with terrible service. We personally will not go back to eat there again. Poorly ran staff.

Had Easter brunch with the family here today. Was super excited and had high expectations. They were not met by any means. Atmosphere was the only great thing here, and it's hard to mess this up given the location. Service was really non-existent - it seemed that there was one server for the entire place. Things took forever. In addition, took forever for the food to come, and when it did, our waitress informed us that what my wife had ordered, shrimp and grits, the kitchen was actually out of. So, my wife had to sit and wait for another meal while the rest of us all ate. When you place an order, you will know whether you are out or not; it is not good service to make the customer wait a half hour and then bring everyone else's food out. Will not be eating here again.

I recommend going somewhere else for breakfast. The atmosphere was nice but cannot say the same about the rest of the experience. We sat and waited close to an hour after ordering to get our food. Once we got it, the food was underwhelming. Not super fresh, and the portions of some items for the price were shockingly small (ie, the mini waffles- $16- you only get 2 waffles served on a saucer plate, and they are MINI!) The breakfast sandwich was a good size, but was similar quality to a Jimmy Dean microwave sandwich, for $17.Overall, the service was disjointed and unorganized, showing clear lack of communication between the staff. The manager (I assume) came over to talk with us and apologized for the delay due to a few larger tables being seated before us, but we didn’t see any large parties and the restaurant was only about 30% filled. After checking in, it took an additional 15-20 minutes for us to get our food. I am not sure if this is common, or if they lost our ticket, but it didn’t seem the people at surrounding tables were receiving their food in a timely manner either. Ultimately we were offered a 10% discount off our bill. We will go elsewhere next time.

TLDR; have drinks here, but go to Reid's Apothecary for brunch. I love the ambiance of this restaurant and the co*cktails (5⭐) are always amazing. Our beautiful server (Jody-Kay) was friendly and attentive. She checked on us repeatedly. The new brunch menu is really disappointing, though. The old menu was interesting with fantastic loaded grits, a cathead biscuit sandwich, chicken and waffles, or french toast. From the boring new menu, I opted for the avocado toast with salmon. It was pricey for what I got. The thinly spread avocado on my one slice of toast was under seasoned and looked old, like the avocado had been smashed earlier in the day and allowed to turn brown. The extra $8 for two thin slices of salmon was excessive. Reid's Apothecary is similar in price but with much better portions and food quality. Folks also should be told that the sparkling water is $8 per bottle, but it was better than trying to drink the marsh-flavored tap water.

Lovely Sunday Brunch buffet. Pianist had a gruvy sound. Very nice atmosphere. The wait staff were helpful and friendly. The food was decent - well prepared. Seasonings were a little generic. Don't expect gourmet. Prices are outrageous for the food - it's a 1 time kind of thing. But It's definitely a cool experienceThe dining hall has fabulous history, and the architecture is all authentic to the period. There is a gift shop as well. I called and got machine, so I recommend making a reservation through the website.

Disaster. Went for breakfast, totally understaffed and disorganized. Waited 5 minutes for hostess, then seated and ignored until we got up and left. Other tables served before us, many tables left unbussed. Walked to the pantry and had a muffin instead.

We ate here to celebrate our engagement in January 2020. I rarely post reviews, but this may be the best dining experience that I’ve ever had, so I felt compelled to. And that says a lot as someone who worked in restaurants for about a decade and is very into fine dining. I often think about the delicious food and experience we had eating here. There are few things I enjoy as much as going out to nice places to eat, but this restaurant performed at the very highest caliber. We enjoyed excellent live piano when we stopped in for dinner that night, which was a nice treat. I read some other reviews and I don’t know how it might be for something like a family brunch (apparently it did well there too 🤷‍♂️), but for a nice dinner they are very hard to beat. We didn’t have to wait on our visit much at all, but having been on that side of serving I have a lot of patience for staff in restaurants, and especially post-pandemic. Believe me, if you have to wait, this restaurant is one of a kind and absolutely worth it! Thank you for giving my wife and I one of the most memorable dining experiences of our life.

Only open for breakfast at Jekyll Island Resort Club. Service was great. Our waitress was really nice. The grand dining room is so spacious and beautifully decorated. The food is very pricey. So consider this before going there for breakfast. Also wish the grand dining room would be open for dinner but only opens for private events.

Expensive food, but worth the price. Very friendly staff. Must be well dressed to dine. Great for a date or trying to impress a girl. Amazing atmosphere and welcoming. Not the best place for small children, but not a bad place to bring them either. Amazing desserts. Ran out of chocolate mousse for the sea turtle dessert, but the waiter was very accommodating and asked if chocolate ice cream would work. It still tasted great. William was our server and he was very friendly and polite.

Had breakfast here our last morning. It was a very slow breakfast, but I really enjoyed the slower pace... helped us focus on our time and really enjoy the moment. Food was great and the views on the property are gorgeous!

Wonderful relaxing breakfast. Banana foster french toast for me with my husband ordering steak and eggs. The atmosphere is amazing. The hotel is beautifully restored and well maintained. We will be back.

We are coming for the brunch since 25 years almost every year. So we were very pleased when we heard that the brunch is on again after they stopped it because of Covid. But what a dissapointment. The dinning room has been painted in very dark colors, the new furniture doesn't really fit the style of the room. But most dissapointing was the food. The quality was only average and the selection almost cut in half. At noon they we're already out of a few items like their famous Key Lime Pie.$65 plus a mandatory 20% service charge seems to be way overpriced for what they offer. However the service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere of the entire hotel is still amazing.

We had the buffet but it was VERY over priced for the quality of the food at $166 including mandatory tip for 2 people. Atmosphere was beautiful, pianist amazing and staff Very attentive. If I eat there again, I would go to breakfast, not the brunch. Bacon and sausage and scrambled eggs were great. Grits were not included in the buffet which was surprising. Lots if variety and quantity but short on quality. Atmosphere and history of the Inn were top notch! The price stung today when you think about that that could be dinner for 2 at a high quality food restaurant!

We went at 10am in the morning and though the place was about half full, it took us quite a while to be seated. We had some friends who got seated before us, but never got menus, so they left again before we even got in. Once seated, the waitress let us know she saw us and would be with us in a little. By the time she came back, we were ready with our orders. I had grabbed out some paper for the kids to draw and asked her if she had a couple pens we could borrow. She asked if it was for the kids because she could go grab them some crayons. They were much happier with more colorful options. I thought that was so sweet of her. We got a couple omelets, eggs benedict, local berries, coffee, and pineapple juice. Everything was delicious. Bill came out to about $70, I think. It was worth the wait, and the service and food were top notch once we got it.

We ordered co*cktails from the bar and we're sitting in the large room with the fireplace. We had to go and get the drinks from the bar, no service, had to pay first and also had to listen to some server/ bartender stories about recent wedding events while we waited. Not the flair that we envisioned when we decided to go there for drinks. The pricey co*cktails were not worth the money. Old dried garnish, no style, wrong drinkware used. Disappointing. But the clubhouse is great and just sitting there feeling the old days was great.

Decent spot to grab some grub. I had the shepherd's pie and after adding a good amount of salt and pepper, I really enjoyed it. I had the island mule and it was pretty good mixer that was worth the spend. I finished the meal with the butter cake and it lived up to the name. Tasted very similar to most ooey gooey bars I've had. Overall, not a bad spot but next time I'm in the area I'll try another locale.

Feel like having a Guinness? Feel like having an IPA? How about try both at the same time in the same glass!!!! Absolutely incredible. Loved the fish and chips! Bring on the vinegar. My wife got the Shepherd's pie cousin cottage pie, which was delicious! Thanks for a great meal and a great beer(s)

Fish and chips were amazing. The batter and crispness on point. And yeah beer good too...lol definitely happy with the decision to come in.

Our server, Nick, did a stellar job. He was just the right amount of chatty, friendly, perceptive and kind.My order of bangers and mash was delicious. And huge! I couldn't eat much more than half of it.The bangers were smaller than expected but they were flavorful, plentiful and grilled to perfection.The mash was not what I expected, being made from waxy potatoes and a bit dense, but they were well seasoned and tasty. Topping the dish with crunchy fried and fresh green onions was a brilliant flavor choice and made for a nice presentation.Anything I would have changed? Just a bit more of the delicious brown gravy that accompanied the mash would have been nice.Paired with a cold hard cider, the bangers and mash were so close to the same dish I've enjoyed in the UK that I was quite happy.I look forward to visiting the Wee Pub again sometime!

Nice surprise finding this place on the beach. They had Guinness on tap. That made everything better. We had burgers, and they were really good. Our server was quick and friendly. Other staff checked on us as well.

Highly recommend Melissa as your waitress, she was awesome. Recommendations were great, and the food followed through. Would come back again. We got fish tacos (insane) and wings which were great along with mashed potatoes and gravy which were fantastic

We had a difficult time picking where to eat. Most of the local eateries had the same menu with mixed reviews. We ended up at the Wee pub because the menu seemed decent. This place did not disappoint. We started with 10 wings teriyaki/peruvian sauce. The Peruvian sauce was like a sweet and sour with a little zest. Both were good. I ordered the Cottage pie, and my husband had the Reuben. Both were excellent. Seasoned well, nothing was bland. Dessert was the bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Similar to a French toast, with a pecan sauce. Not too sweet, done just right. Staff was friendly, our server Emma had impeccable customer service. So glad we picked this spot. The atmosphere was more of a family style restaurant, than sports bar. I’d definitely eat here again.

We got right in and had excellent friendly service. All of our food was delicious. Highly recommend the crab dip appetizer. The fish tacos were also really good and the sweet potatoes fries were also delicious.

While the fish tacos aren't anything to write home about... The son loved his burger, daughter had grilled cheese and salad (vegetarian), and husband said amazing chili. Liked both the island mule and the Irish mule!!! What are vacations for if not enjoying co*cktails??? 🤣 Haven was a perfectly attentive server. There when we needed her, but not annoyingly up in our business either! If we ever have occasion to get back to Jekkyl Island it's a return location for us. 💖

First time visiting Wee Pub on Jykell. Classic Irish Pub sports bar setting and atmosphere. Lots of TV's and Jamison bottles. Arrived 5:45 Friday afternoon and was seated immediately. Our server was friendly, prompt and curtiouse. My wife had the Fish and substituted the chips for a side salad. She enjoyed both and REALLY liked the fish. I had the the hot wings and they were good size and tasty. Will probably go back during football season to enjoy all the TVs as well.

The Wee Pub has absolutely scrumptious beer battered fries. The food is very tasty and fresh. When I commented on how delicious the water was the waiter volunteered the water is double or tripled filtered. If you know Jekyll Island you'll understand this comment. Wee Pub unlike many of the other restaurants on the island is reasonably priced too.

Irish pub food + live music, what more could you ask for? Well, bread pudding, ask for the bread pudding too!We ate here twice during our stay and enjoyed it each time. We tried quite a few different dishes, as we were a group of 6. Fish and chips, shrimp, burgers, sweet potato fries, Reuben, and cottage pie were all good! Oh and the hush puppies, yum! I usually think they're pretty lame, but for a simple, boring hush puppy I was impressed!Easy win.Sorry, not many photos.

Looks like an Irish bar, but it’s not. I’m from Ireland, so believe I’m qualified to say that. Food was a salty mess, Guinness was a sloppy pour. Had so many bubbles in it I thought there was a scuba diver at the bottom. Good for a quick stop, but not a regular.

I hate writing bad reviews but unfortunately I found a piece of lint/dust on my bread pudding. I'm not sure if it was the area where the food was sitting but it had an underlying taste like an old rag. I had that thought prior to even locating the dust particle. The piece wasn't that big, understand the pic of the particle is magnified with the zoom feature from my camera. The fries were good, fresh and hot. The black and Bleu burger was too salty for me but that's my fault as I didn't think about the Bleu cheese and bacon being way too much salt for my palette, if you like salt then it's a decent burger.

Wonderful spot!! We were seating quickly and our waiter was very attentive. They even gave us old 80's water games to play with while we ate. We had onion rings as an appetizer and they were VERY good. Good batter and done well. One person had the drunk chicken salad and we all wished we had ordered it. Another had the chicken tenders - they were huge and juicy and delicious. 2 of us had rubens and they were spot on. We ended with the bread pudding which was DIVINE!!!!!! Absolutely will come again.

Great food, service, and atmosphere! I had the black & bleu burger. It was excellent! Their Jekyll Island Tea will certainly get the job done if you're looking for a good co*cktail. All in all, it's just a solid establishment with Irish charm and great food. Highly recommend!

Great hidden gem at the marina on Jekyll Island near the causeway bridge. Nice atmosphere overlooking the marina, and a swimming pool and hot tub for patrons and marina owners.Food was all delicious, drinks were well made with good happy hour specials. I was also impressed with the amount of wait staff, speed of the kitchen, and friendliness of the bussing crew: I know retention is hard for restaurant owners, and the owners seem to be doing a good job here.My only complaint is the portion size on dinners is a bit small, but that just means more room for the yummy homemade desserts.Recommended, we'll be visiting every time we're on the Island.

Mahi sandwich wow! French fries - a batter coated most delicious fries I've ever had, make sure you try them. Great friendly service and wonderful views of the intracoastal river.Editing this! The Key lime pie is not as good as the pie down in the Keys of Florida. The peanut butter is better than expected. I was hoping for as good of Key lime pie. Good color, just not tangy lime enough.

Great Shrimp and grits… hush puppies could’ve been hotter…. Salad was meh.I did add a small scoop of the shrimp salad to my salad, and that made it OK tasting. I did enjoy the shrimp salad. They are nice enough to add it on without adding on an additional cost. They did not have oysters. The espresso Martini was very good flavor and they did not skimp out on the alcohol that’s for sure

We were here on a Sunday afternoon, and the front porch had a sign reading, "Holy $#*& we made it 5 years!" Immediately, we felt conflicted because either we were in for a treat or we were eating at a place where the people don't have kids. (The 8-year-old: "Mommy, what's $#*&‽" The 14-year-old takes a picture to text his friends.)We chose to eat outside, and the view from the table was wonderful. There's enough wind that there was no oceanfront smell, and while that might be something you expect around that type of area, it was nice having a meal without it.For appetizers, we had Crab Stew. It was good and creamy. (We tried to order oysters, but there's a supply problem right now which, while a bummer, isn't their fault.)The server was great. While she didn't know the menu well and wasn't the most personable, she did ask about allergy concerns and check in on us regularly to make sure we were good.For meals, we had:Child 1 - Kids fish plate. She loved it, and they have malt vinegar that makes her super happy. We tasted it, and it was nondescript white fish (maybe tilapia?).Child 2 - Swordfish steak with fries and red potatoes. He is adventurous but has a lot of food allergies, and the care taken for his dish was phenomenal. They genuinely cared to make sure there was no cross-contamination.Adult 1 - Shrimp Po Boy. This was the win of the table. The shrimp is cleaned, and to us, that's a big deal.Adult 2 - Greek Salad. Okay, so it's a salad, and I tend to expect a wilty piece or two. However, having a husband in the industry, we were surprised this salad would be served as it was. The cucumber had clearly been frozen, and it was visibly gooey, see-through green. The tomatoes had two brown rotten spots on them. Since they are served in wedges, it would have been easy to cut the icky parts out, but the person building the salad obviously didn't care. As expected, there was some brown-edged lettuce, but there was also wilty lettuce that looked like it, too, had been frozen.All in all, we would definitely go back and eat here again. The food, overall, was just okay, but we really think that was related to menu changes based on shortages and not a normal experience.

We had great drinks and good dinner here. Low country boil starter, fried shrimp, and shrimp and grits entrees. Burgers and grilled cheese for the kids.All pretty good. LCB was kinda skimpy but the flavor was good.Fried shrimp cooked and seasoned well. Shrimp and grits was good but also kinda skimpy on shrimp.Our appetizer, salads, and meals all hit the table at the same time. Waiter said salads and app would be out first...Great property and views. The experience was somewhere north of a corporate seafood restaurant but similar to Harry's or Bochamps.

Visiting Jekyll Island for the first time and this establishment was recommended to us through a few of the locals.For drinks we enjoyed a strawberry pale ale and a spicy bloody Mary... We ordered the grilled shrimp with two sides and an order of the shrimp and grits.Both meals were so delicious...sorry but i forgot to get pics --- there was no way once the food came out that I was going to stop and take a picture of it. It looked too great and smelled fantastic and I was just ready to chow.Everyone we spoke to from the staff to the other patrons simply added to the great experience that we had!! This establishment will definitely be on the top of our list when we return to Jekyll Island!! And maybe next time ill get pics of the food!😆

Amazing view of the Marina if you sit outside. Georgia Shrimp did not disappoint! The seafood boil was less of a boil and more of a sampler but we loved it anyway. Hush puppies had great flavor and crispiness. We had a lovely server and just an overall great time

Don't sleep on this place! They have amazing views of the sunset, the outdoor seating is great. Its definitely a hidden gem! 💎I ordered their chicken philly sandwich w/fries. They had a good local beer selection. The service was good both @ the bar and at the table.The homemade peanut butter pie is TO DIE FOR...so much so that my friend & I returned another day just to order it to go to scarf down @ out hotel!I recommend this place for drinks, dinner & sunset views!

Beautiful location! Wheel chair access. Let me just say, they had me at "pet friendly". That said, if you do decide to bring your furry family friend consider being seated at a standard dining table (outside) instead of the high-top bar seating. I suggest this because the high top bar seating makes access to little dogs (like ours) a bit awkward. Just food for thought. Speaking of food, the food was excellent! My wife had blackened Georgia shrimp with a side of cheesy grits and lima beans. I had the fried clam and shrimp combo with hush puppies and fries and it was so dang good!! The clams were lightly breaded, perfectly crispy outside and melt in your mouth goodness inside!! The shrimp was big and delicious! PERFECTLY golden crispy seasoned fries !!! The hush puppies were next level excellent! It had the right amount of crunch and yet it was well seasoned with a slight sweet and salty taste!! You know the food is good when strangers arriving are told by people leaving how delicious their meals were. We decided to splurge and get the key lime pie which was also tasty. Not too sweet, perfectly tangy with and excellent crust! Our server Marchez was helpful, enthusiastic and most of all gave the impression he liked his job which in the service industry is increasingly RARE these days. We'll definitely be back. Yes, indeed!!

Wasn’t bad. Would’ve appreciated more choices, bit more attentive service, and bigger portions for the $Also mainly “mad” because they were out of the homemade desserts lol!I got the crabcakes and they were fine. Tasted good. French fries were blah, coleslaw was decent. Had pickles in it, which I thought was weird at first, but wasn’t a bad addition at all, not much food overall though for $20.Wife had a salad and added chicken and huge portion for that. Balsamic vinaigrette was horrible there she said, and I dipped a French fry in and agreed. $15 seemed like a better deal.

Alot waiting. Arrived, ordered fairly quickly, and got our first drink but ghosted for a good 45 minutes without refills or are appetizers. When the appetizers did arrive, they were ok and luke warm. Than waited even more time for our main course, which was mediocre but 1 granted plus to this place it has to be the cheapest place on the island for food and drinks so if you have alot Patience its a ok restaurant

Had the Wild Georgia Shrimp blackened with collard greens and red potatoes and the Philly Cheese steak with collard greens was awesome. The key lime and peanut butter pies were superb.

Well, as you can see my name is Zachary so I had to 😂 It was actually really good though! We got a pound of the peel and eat shrimp, and it was delicious! Very fresh, great texture and flavor, and that butter dip was delicious!

Shrimp and oyster platter was very good, as well as the crab cakes appetizer. Recommended. Very nice location and views of the marina

Very cozy seafood restaurant with friendly staff. Our waitress was quick to get our drink and food orders. Our crab soup and salad was brought out promptly. Both were good. We also ordered the fried shrimp with fries and coleslaw, as well as, grilled shrimp and fried oysters with cheese grits and red potatoes. The fried and grilled shrimp were fresh and good. The oysters were perfectly prepared. The red potatoes seemed to have been cooked earlier and reheated making them hard to cut and without taste. The cheese grits were just ok, kind of stiff, needing more liquid to loosen them up. The coleslaw needed more mayonnaise. (But that is just a personal preference.) The French fries were hot and crispy-so good! And the sweet tea was the perfect example of what Southern Sweet Tea should look and taste like. Overall, this was an enjoyable meal. We would like to return and try other menu items.

Let me start by saying the food was super delicious and decently priced. The service on the other hand was horrendous, our drinks arrived after our appetizers and entres, a few parts of our orders were missing, stuff was being dropped and spilled, the other patrons around us were complaining very loudly and as bad as our service was, others had it much worse. The waitress was apologetic but giving us excuses when we rarely saw her. The host told us our wait would be 15 minutes but we waited an hour just to be seated. Keep in mind we came during the off season which I think warranted the two stars, I don’t even want to know what it is like here during the summer.

Had a wonderful sunset dinner at Zachry’s. The blackened Mahi was delicious, a large portion and really nicely spiced. Amazing hush puppies. Zachry’s is very casual and cozy. Our server was definitely busy but very friendly. There are stunning sunset views over the marsh. We weren’t willing to wait for an outside table but enjoyed our meal in the “sunroom” area. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely be back!

My husband has the chicken Philly and it was delicious the fries was cold I just had wings they were basic not seasoned just dipped in sauce but the sauce was decent. Views were lovely and service was great

Zachry’s Riverhouse is most likely the best restaurant on the entirety of Jekyll Island. The food served here is among the best I have had throughout the entirety of 2023. I ordered an appetizer of mozzarella sticks and the fried shrimp platter with fries and cheese grits as the sides. The cheese grits are absolutely superb, the best I’ve had on the island. The same can also be said about the fries, nowhere on Jekyll does fries better than Zachry’s. The fried shrimp is simply amazing, and it isn’t loaded with salt like many other places on Jekyll do with their shrimp.I sat on the outside section of the restaurant at a barstool overlooking the Jekyll Island Marina. The view of the water is phenomenal, and you even get to see the shrimping boats on the docks.The service is likewise fantastic. I had a very minimal wait time, although I did go there around 3:45 P.M. My server was Ms. Connor, and she was very helpful the entire time. Anything I needed, she would bring to me within just a minute or so.Overall my entire experience was absolutely superb. The only possible complaint that I could have is that the shrimp could use slightly more seasoning, but that issue pales in comparison to the phenomenal time I had here. I will definitely come here more in the future, and I urge anybody who is thinking of trying Zachry’s to come here as soon as they can.

The Pantry is a cute little restaurant & shop located in the Jekyll Island Club Resort. They have breakfast and lunch stuff, desserts, and coffee for there or to go as well as bottled alcohol, soda, & water. They also sell some cute things for the home, syrup, bacon jam, s'more kits, and you can purchase picnic baskets for a day out.

A little confusing to find if you are not already staying at this beautiful hotel, it’s in between the buildings and up the stairs. The inside is small with limited seating but the porch outside has seating as well and it’s really beautiful to sit at. They have some food and baked goods and coffee here, we all got a baked good and they were pretty nice tasting but not the best I’ve ever had. I found the prices to be a bit higher here but overall this place was a really nice stop.

Pastries always delightful. Oh but their Sweet Ice Tea 😋 a super refreshing perfect Georgia blend made just right.This place is located inside the Jekyll Island Club park at the Sea turtle sanctuary 🐢 ,walk to the pantry and enjoy the view.Great History of the Island + houses .

A better choice that the grand dining room.

I recently visited the Pantry in Jekyll Island, and had a delightful experience. The bacon egg and cheese croissant was delicious, and the service was excellent. The charming adjacent store provided a pleasant distraction as we waited for our food. Overall, a good spot for a tasty bite and a cozy atmosphere.

Love this little place. Make sure to go find it. It's worth it. Don't be intimidated by it being in the hotel. It's actually accessible in the courtyard. Go in thru the back. It's a really cool place with excellent coffee and glute free ganache cake. Lots of other goodies. Excellent employees. Beautiful decor.

The pantry was a little crowded, we ordered food to eat outside on the patio around the hotel. For the price we paid, we did not get much in terms of portions. Especially when it came to the desserts. The cheesecake was tiny and we were disappointed about that. The people were nice, however. It's just like every place else everybody seems to give you less for your money.

Nice enough little island DQ, food was average and the staff was nice enough. No real complaints.

Place was filthy including spilled ice cream and chocolate all over the window where you pick your food up. Ordered a hot fudge brownie a la mode and waited 20 minutes. Got called up to the window and told that they had no brownies. I said I would do a peanut buster parfait. Got a cup of ice cream when maybe 2 spoons of chocolate and no peanuts. No biggie that you ran out of something but say so when it is ordered. Then, if you are going to replace it with something else, make sure you can make it correctly or just give the person their money back.

I would give 0 stars if I could. They were very rude and I ordered a side salad for 3.99 and there was very little edible lettuce. The website said open until 10 but they closed at 9. The girl heard me tell my kids after they eat we would get ice cream they closed 5 minutes later, she could have told me they were closing so I could order. It took 30+ mins to get 2 burgers, a salad and pretzel sticks.

Literally the worst Dariqueen I've been to in America. All I ordered was one little ice cream(a small blizzard to be exact) and Literally waited for 20 minutes while watching 10 others get their orders that ordered after me. I never did get my blizzard I ended up walking out. I don't blame the cashier because they had her trying to do 3 people's jobs at once. If a cashier has 20 people in line they really can't expect her to take orders, get the orders ready and hand them out and make the ice cream. Thats just impossible..the people in the back should of been helping her!!

Best all vanilla ice cream blizzard I’ve ever had! All four of our families blizzard were about the same. Don’t waste your money here.

My recent visit to Dairy Queen left much to be desired. Despite previous encounters with issues like cash-only registers, this particular location reached a new low by being completely out of ice cream. It's baffling how a quintessential ice cream shop could run out of its main product. It begs the question of how effectively the store is managed. The frustration of encountering such a fundamental problem is understandable, and it's disappointing that the experience fell short once again. In situations like this, one can't help but question the viability of the establishment.

I think the restaurant is understaffed, the people ahead of me left before anyone ever came to take their order. I waited about five minutes before anyone took my order. My cone came up on a food service window ( just setting there by itself). It was very dirty and looks like it had not been wiped down in a while. Very unfortunate!

Cut them some slack on the slow service or mistakes that may occur, they unfortunately have to deal with staff issues because of the location being way out on the island. Blizzards were solid and perfectly consistency. Employees were friendly despite being a bit busy on a Wednesday night.Also keep in mind they cut off ordering about 20/30 mins before closing so they can get everyone their food before 9pm.Updated hours now are 11am - 9pm.

Been coming to Jekyll for many years. Frankly, the manager should be fired for leaving three teenagers running the place over the 4th of July week. Stood in line waiting 40 minutes for two mini blizzards. I felt sorry for the three that were there working. We decided two years ago not to come back because it was poorly ran but thought we would try again this year. Same issues. This place could be making lots of money, but management needs to change!

This is quite possibly the dirtiest food establishment I’ve ever been to. There was food crumbs and pieces all over the floor and the serving ledges. I would understand this if they had a line out the door; however, there were 4 employees standing around the cash register talking. I placed a mobile order, but if I had known about the status of the restaurant, I would’ve just walked out. This restaurant needs a manager who can get the employees trained in the customer experience and expectations. I do think they know that they are one of the only options in the area for food, and they just expect people will come there for food out of necessity. It was gross, and I hope for the sake of Jekyll Island visitors and residents a change is made soon.

Gave this place a second chance and equally if not more disappointed. Long wait and the people working there can’t make a blizzard straight off the menu if their life depended on it. We wanted a Buster bar. We were told they only had what was in the cooler. There was not any there. I grabbed a couple of Dilly bars. T here was only a couple of those,that's it. When I was outside l realized that they were dairy free(DAIRY QUEEN). They were absolutely hideous. I wouldn't go back if you paid me.

I used to work for a Dairy Queen and if we were caught doing any of this stuff or had any issues we were fired on the spot. Our staff was ALWAYS clean and sanitary. Good was always fresh. So here it goes ..... Our fries tasted like shrimp 🤢 and you can tell that they are not fresh (very stale and cold and hard). Plus the counter our drinks were served on was covered in crumbs and food of some sort so it was all over the bottom of our drinks. All of the blizzards were NOT served upside down (because they were melted, as seen in photos). Also, my country gravy for my chicken strips had a brown color to it and it almost tasted a tad burnt? Guy that took my order, touched his computer and my card, went straight back to prep our order... WITHOUT GLOVES OR WASHING HANDS!!! 🤮He also had chocolate syrup hanging from his bottom lip when taking my order. This made me want to puke. I honestly don't know where he was eating that chocolate syrup from or how. AND... he had his headphones on and a black Hollister jacket with white flaky looking stuff all over the front. I'm sorry but I'm just being honest here. It's absolutely DISGUSTING, nasty, filthy, just plain GROSS!!! Please try harder

Service is slow. Food takes about 20 minutes to receive after you order, even when it is not busy. We ordered blizzards and asked and paid for extra toppings and didn't even get the normal amount of toppings. I say just go to DQ off the island.

2 of the female staff members were complaining very loudly and there was no shortage of foul and disrespectful language. I would expect this establishment to pride themselves on having well mannered and respectful staff. That is not the case here.

As expected from DQ. Not a place that I usually go to, so I was surprised to see they had fast food options. We enjoyed a burger, fries, and milkshake before heading back to the hotel. Clean with a seating area.

I had a very pleasant experience at this location and can’t share the criticism. The online order was accurate and on time, there was no wait, staff was friendly and the food was freshly made. They also offered to store the ice cream in the fridge until we finished our burgers and fries. Another bonus is the outside seating area under old trees. Please don’t just trust the negative reviews but give them a fair chance.

The best shrimp on the island!!! Located inside of Jekyll Market, great selection, great pricing & staff, large portions & everything we had was terrific. That Mac n cheese was AMAZING!!! You have to try the fried shrimp, sweet potato fries (don't forget to sprinkle a little cinnamon and sugar on them for a special treat), Mac n cheese and the chicken fingers!!! Next time, we're trying out the rotisserie chicken!! We enjoyed it so much that we are there twice during our stay on the island.

Love Shack NEVER disappoints! The pulled pork and sweet potato fries is our favorite! The meat is always moist and never dry. You have several choices of BBQ sauces to choose from as well.

It's nestled inside the market in the corner. It is counter service and there is seating outside. The BBQ pork sandwich is legit Jumbo. It needs BBQ sauce, so do not forget to get a couple cups before leaving. The shrimp is is reportably unflavorful. You have limited choices in the village. This is not my first choice, but it fills you up.

Best fried shrimp on Jekyll Island! Always fresh with great fries too! Shack is in the back of the Jekyll Market and it is popular so bring some patience (about 10 minutes from order to food). Seating is outside the market (al fresco!) so it's all "take out".

Good food. My daughter had the pulled pork and I had the chicken tenders and both were delicious. The only downside was the prices were a bit high and the location is in the back of the Jekyll Market shop, so it was very cramped while ordering and waiting the ten minutes for it to cook.

It's just a little take-away window. Check your order before you leave because they forgot to give us barbecue sauce for our barbecue sandwiches. That said, THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. Two weeks later, I'm still thinking about it. I had fried green tomatoes, collards, and macaroni and cheese. I would go back, again and again.

Best little secret in Jekyll Island! It was also the best food experience in both Jekyll and St. Simon Islands combined! We came back a second day we enjoyed it so much. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful with zero sauce, the fried shrimp (wild & fresh) were breaded while we waited, and there’s no beating a perfectly cooked and salted crinkle cut fry! Anna and her team work really hard and do an outstanding job with managing a crowd - we were here during a weekend with over 1200 students in town for a tech conference and The Love Shack was insanely busy and our food was not rushed and still came out in less than 10 minutes. This young manager knows her business and equally impressive is all of the food! I don’t write reviews normally but felt called to this time!!

Amazing crab cake. Slightly crispy on the outside, tender and flaky crab shreds inside, and yummy flavor. The basket of breads placed on the table were all moist and delicious… pumpkin bread, yeast roll, and jalapeño corn bread with whipped butter! I hear the shrimp and grits here are great too! Will return another day to try them. And will definitely return for the crab cakes. Will continue my quest for best crab soup.

This is a family style restaurant. The service is very friendly and fast. The food portions are quite large and tasty. She crab soup was very flavorful. Had the shrimp and grits. Those were tasty with a little spicy punch to them. Both the creamy spinach and dirty rice were good. Highly recommended.

These crab cakes, with limited filler, are heavenly! The pecan crusted chicken tenders are giant and tender, and the sides are always good. Don’t forget some Chocolate Stuff for dessert!

Me and my wife came for dinner after she hyped it up as I had never ate here before and they DID NOT disappoint! We shared a chicken tender plate and still had left overs! Also the pumpkin bread and jalapeño cornbread that comes with your meal was to die for! Very big portions and well worth the money. The chicken tenders were HUGE and very delicious! Our waiter was excellent and took very good care of us. 10/10 recommend for delicious and well priced food, will be back to try some seafood next time!

It's always nice when you find a restaurant that delivers quality. The crabcakes were delicious and exactly how they should be made. My cabbage was southern delicious and the squash casserole did not disappoint. I recommend this restaurant.

The She Crab Soup was excellent. The large Crab Cake was perfect. Good quick service. Reasonable prices. Well worth a stop. We enjoyed it here.

Best crab cakes on the island, but all the seafood is sure to be great. Great servers, you won't wait long. Food is fresh and filling. Portions are huge, definitely best bang for your buck here. We go here at least once everytime we're on the island. Southern style home cooking, and the bread is so good. Recommended. It is busy and loud, but the food is worth it.

Barbara Jeans is on of those places you know your always gonna get a great meal. Every time we’re on the island we come here a time or two. Always consistent always delicious. I’m from Maryland and get great crab cakes but I always get one here…..delicious! Coconut shrimp great. All the veggies delicious. And the trio of breads always yummy. Thanks so much for continuing to do such a great job. Always on our hit list!

The spicy finish to the fish was really good along with great rice and fries. The fried chicken was OK and the salad was good too. The crab cake was nice but the shrimp fritters or something similar were just OK. The servers are great.

This place is worth every penny. We started with she crab soup and it's the best I've had, PERIOD. The flavor is on point and soo much crab in it. The crab cakes were big and full of lump, NO FILLER. As mentioned by others, even the bread was delicious. To top off the experience, service was exceptional. I highly recommend to everyone.

Great casual dining experience. Went in for lunch on a Saturday. Our server April was great! Food was everything you’d expect going to your southern grandmas house for Sunday dinner. Large portions and delicious comfort food. Our dishes were blackened catfish and shrimp n grits. Both outstanding. Grits were a bit mushy for my liking. But flavor was fantastic. Catfish was nicely flavored. Red beans n rice were a highlight, as well as the cornbread!! Great spot to eat then walk it off around the village and watch sunset on the pier.

Outstanding! Shrimp & Grits piled high with Andoule and sauce, and 6 nice shrimp. Not a little flavoring on a huge pile of grits as is so common. Delicious and filling. Salad very flavorful. Mix of hot breads complimented our meal. Service outdoors by Danielle was as attentive as the indoor guests get. Definitely will make a trip back here.

We ate a late dinner here on a Monday night and really enjoyed it. Waiter Taylor was attentive and had a good sense of humor. I ordered the she crab soup and BJ’s blu salad. The soup was thick and full of crab. The salad had Mandarin oranges, bacon and bleu cheese crumbles. My wife had coconut shrimp with sweet carrots and homemade mash potatoes. I highly recommend for quality and price.

Great portion sizes. Crab cakes are great. Everything is fresh and homemade. Dirty rice is great and definitely can be a meal In itself. You won't be disappointed and prices aren't crazy!

They were very busy. Overheard several complaints about slow service. The two waitresses were really working hard. They really needed 3 or 4 I think. My stars rating is strictly related to the food and not what I assume were unusual service circ*mstances.We had the pretzels (2) appetizer, which was great. The honey mustard was uniquely delicious. The roasted red pepper sauce was fantastic.Several dinner entrees were not available. The fried shrimp was just ok. The seafood with fettuccini and zucchini and tomato sauce was awesome. It's comes in a bowl with shrimp and muscles. This is the kind of dish you can't find just anywhere.For dessert we split a piece of key lime pie. It was awful. It was drizzled with some neon green stuff that tasted like artificial sour apple flavoring. We scraped out all off, but there was hardly any flavor in what was left. Did not finish the pie. With tip the meal was 90 something dollars.

Food was very good. Had the Burger with gluten free bun. Lyonnaise potatoes delicious. Nice view outside. Comfortable seating. Service was ok. Waitress said she didn't think the chef had decided on the sandwich of the day yet except they opened at noon and we were there at 2. Had to say, could ya check?

I’ve been here before and service and quality of food has gone down a bit. They changed their spiral cut potatoes fries that I loved to crinkle cut fries. I ordered the crab cake and that’s all it was—a crab cake with a small drizzle of remoulade and barely any of their crinkle cut fries. The crab cake was tasty however it could use a bed of greens or a bun. For $27 I thought the dish would be presented better, this dish definitely fell flat, I wouldn’t order it again.

Our 1st time eating here this evening & THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!! Definitely good service from our friendly waitress Anna. Wanted to try the place since we could just walk to it from our hotel,"The Holiday Inn Resort". Nice to sit outside & enjoy the food with screening to keep the bugs away as well especially in the evening or night with the good lightening that comes on. Food was pricey but was definitely worth it since enjoyed it so much especially the Steak, Fish, & our friendly waitress we had. The Fried Calamari was delicious, the Steak was cooked perfectly with good fat on it, & the Fish tasted awesome in the thick batter it was dipped in. Definitely would eat here again whenever staying on Jekyll Island

I had high hopes for a simple burger and a beer, but my experience was a letdown. The burger was a major disappointment - it was tasteless and slapped together with a soggy bun. How hard can it be to make a decent burger? I won't rate the fries, let's just say I didn't finish them. I was also looking forward to trying a good beer, but there was no beer list, and the waitress had no knowledge of the available beers. According to their menu, you have to get up from your table, go inside, take a picture of the beer menu, and then return to your table to make your choice from your photo. This is a tap room, right? Is printer paper too expensive and in short supply? I understand it takes some effort to maintain an updated list, but this just seemed lazy.The beer finally arrived, and while it tasted good, it was flat. I tried a different beer, and it was flat too. I was told it's an "ez pour system," which explained the lack of head, it wasn't just the lack of head, the beer was just lifeless. To make matters worse, the pints were priced at $12 each – an unusually high price for a pint!I must give credit to the waitress for trying her best. She did remove the burger and beers from our bill, for which I'm grateful. We were a party of 4, and judging from the other meals served, none of which resembled the pictures in other reviews. They looked like slop with toast. I didn't taste them, but others in our group were not impressed either and didn't finish their meals.In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend this establishment. I suggest spending your hard-earned money elsewhere for a better dining experience.

Celeste was an excellent waitress and she sure makes the best sweet tea and sweet tea and lemonade! The fried shrimp was excellent and crunchy, onion rings were great, ask for the ranch it’s homemade and very good!

Very nice place across from the Seafarer Inn & next to the Holiday Inn. Good food, great beer, and excellent service. Special thanks to Nick- you fed these hungry, cranky folks and sent them out happy. We'll be back for Shrimp & Grits and Key Lime Pie.

Good location but not a lot of options, especially not much seafood options for a place on the beach. The food was okay but overpriced. My husband said he did like the fried oysters. The grilled grouper was okay but over seasoned making it taste too salty. The vegetables also had too much seasoning/salt, making them hard to finish. Among us we also had a burger, pretzel, fries, and chicken tender all of which were just okay. Our server was really nice and the place was very clean.

This is a beautiful place and the food is overall delicious, however the portions are miniscule (the coleslaw was in a laughably small plastic container, while the kids' fruit was in a large ramekin). The kids' pizza was spicy, and the fruit side option only had large chunks of honeydew & cantaloupe. We had to ask our server at the end of the meal for the milk & "frozen treat" that was offered (and ordered) with the kids meal. The fries and the peach mule were delicious, but other places on the island impressed us more than this.

Beach House has a great selection of food with a very nice staff. We really enjoyed the beachy feel. The wait could've been long but we sat at the bar and got right in. We had a very enjoyable dinner that was prepared well.

We are camping near by & thought we would check out the bar for a beer & appetizer on the way back from the beach. We were able to take advantage of happy hour for a great deal on excellent wings (really good ranch & blue cheese too) & they had a few taps at a great price. Our bartender Arlene was excellent on service & also answered our questions about the area! My only issue is the regular price on craft beer is at least $2 higher than I would expect…even for a resort area on an Island…in GA.

We thought that the food we purchased was great value. We had fish and chips (huge portions) side salads, side roasted veggies. All nicely presented. Bottle of cabernet. For 2 people it was under $100 and very flavourful. Server was great and very attentive. Fantastic oceanview location.

The food was fine but the service was the worst I’ve ever seen, it took us (a family of 4) two hours to receive our breakfast order and only half of it arrived, and the other half came 45 minutes later, the restaurant had maybe three other customers so I’m not sure what happened with that. We had to repeatedly get up and walk around the restaurant to find someone to help us when we wanted more coffee and to know where our order was. We made the mistake of giving them a second chance and came for dinner a few days later. At dinner it also took two hours to receive our order and they forgot one of our entrees and NEVER BROUGHT IT OUT. When we asked if it was coming they said no and that it was ok because they would take it off the bill. They tried to solve the issue by putting one of the entrees in between two people and suggesting they share.

While the atmosphere was great and our bartender and drinks were phenomenal, the food was unexpectedly just meh.. not impressive and for the prices they charge we expected much better quality food. Especially since we waited a pretty long time for it to come out, My shrimp in my grits was way over cooked and chewy, the gravy it came in was just very salty and frankly not good, my bfs burger was under cooked and my mom's grilled fish was very tiny and over cooked as well and her koos koos was not done, the buk choy was also not great. In fact my favorite thing out of our meal was the pretzel with the 3 sauces it came with.

While on Jekyll last week, I ate at this restaurant 3 times. The only reason I went was because it was super convenient to our hotel, and I had no car since hubby was on a golf course. The first lunch was chicken tenders. Very dry and could only eat half of each piece. The second meal was only an order of roasted brussel sprouts and bay fries. The food was good this time but it took 35 minutes to get my food and I was the first person seated for lunch that day. The third time was the worst! I ordered a chef salad to go. I took it back to the pool at the hotel to eat. The lettuce was covered in a black slime from rotten pieces of lettuce in the mix. The salad was $17 + change. I could only eat the cheese, meats, veggies and boiled egg on top. I will not go back there. So disgusting and disappointed.

Nice restaurant. The prime rib was delicious, and the shrimp and grits were also delicious. Small but delicious menu.

My wife and I enjoyed a cool crisp house salad, the Blackened Grouper, Vegetable Cous Cous, and Garlic Baby Bok Choy. Overall, the meal was very flavorful. The fish and accompaniments were substantial. Being that the fish was somewhat of a thicker cut, it could have been cooked just a bit more, but it was delicious nonetheless. We’re looking forward to trying out other menu items when we’re on Jekyll Island again.

Casual coastal seafood / oyster joint located just off main street at Saint Simon's Pier Village next to Barbera Jean's. Menu a bit limited but food is good and plentiful. Bar space small, seating is cozy and service somewhat methodical. Nothing fancy here... The bloody Mary is legit!! However the highlight is certainly the butter cake desert. They only offer one desert so we thought we should try it. Glad we did!!

I love this place. One of my favorites on the island. Had a fun night for my friends birthday. They even gave him complimentary butter cake for the occasion. I will say that the service could be a little better but it was a busy Saturday night so I understand and still gave 5 stars.

Fairly good have had better but can't say nothing bad about this place. Just slightly blame could have had more seasoning. The butter cake was fantastic! So good that we had two servings!! Could have just done the butter cake and would have been satisfied.

Rumor has it that the Half Shell had a dessert called the butter cake that was so good that they didn't bother serving any other dessert. Well naturally we had to try it!Our server recommended the catch of the day served crusted with crab. The crab overpowered the fish, but it was so tasty that it didn't matter. Jen had the blackened chicken strips with onion rings and thoroughly enjoyed it.After our meal, the famous butter cake was served. It lived up to its reputation! Delicious! Highly recommend the restaurant for the butter cake alone!

Really good service and food. We got the crab cakes with the wrapped green beans and fried onion rings and the Cajun oysters with cheese grits with the crab bisque as an appetizer. All was really good, would definitely recommend and come back!

A must when on SSI! Service was wonderful and the food was too! Kalen was wonderful as he checked on is continuously and Lindsey, our server was so sweet and took care of is! Food was fresh and hot! My salad with Mahi was so flavorful! Crabcakes delicious!

I’m still thinking about this place almost a week later.. this restaurant is AMAZING. Our waitress was so sweet, helpful, and attentive. We were able to get a seat on the patio right away for two and our pup (they are dog friendly!!) The food? 10/10 not only is the presentation for each dish carefully/beautifully arranged but the flavors, taste, and temperature of every dish was perfection. I was swayed by the other reviews before dinning, to get dessert (usually we skip it too) but you cannot!! Get the butter cake you will NOT regret it!

I always order the same dish when I dine at The Half Shell: the crab bisque, the steamed oysters, and the steamed shrimp (cold). Their seafood is always fresh and so yummy! They (usually) have the best oyster shuckers of any oyster restaurant I’ve ever been to, serving the cleanest oysters ever!This time, my son ordered the calamari and the barbecued shrimp and grits, and he enjoyed both. But whatever you do, make sure you save room for a piece of their famous warm butter cake with vanilla ice cream! It’s so delicious, I always get two pieces!

The food was not what we expected it to be from the prices or the reviews. Go there fir desert and get the cake, skip the rest. I had the catch of the day and unfortunately nor the fish itself or the sauce had really any flavor to it. The grits were plain for them being "cheese" grits, beans wrapped in bacon had the bacon taste which was good. The oysters were not good at all, we had the flavored ones and that flavor did not match anything, no-one at our table liked it and we are used to oysters in all forms and flavors.

I've had drinks and dinner at The Reserve on four occasions across two visits to this Westin. Everything, food and drinks, are well prepared. The atmosphere is very comfortable, especially the bar area (my area of preference). The service is attentive and I did find it crowded on any occasion. Try the calamari and the lamb chops.

The Reserve had some of the best views from a restaurant on the island. Service was great, but the food was not $50 steak quality. My wife's filet appeared maybe 4oz and there was grissle in the filet. My $52 ribeye looked great but had little flavor. Drinks were good and the atmosphere in the restaurant was nice. Overall a good experience, but if you call yourself a steakhouse, you need better meat. Not worth the money IMO.

The food was cooked perfectly and was absolutely phenomenal, the staff was very attentive and friendly, the restaurant was quiet and clean, the bathrooms are nice, menu isn’t too big and had a good variety, the beer and wine were good, the filet was the best steak I’ve ever had. Wish the appetizers were bigger though.

My steak was burnt and dry. The salmon steak had no taste. Very friendly staff.

We had breakfast included with our room and I still wouldn’t recommend it. Everything is miserably slow. On both days, there were plenty of tables available and it still took 10-15 minutes to sit down and good luck getting service after that. No plates at the buffet, so I had to scavenge around to find a bowl to use. Wait staff was nice and doing their best with the few people they had, but whoever is running this place needs to go.

Food and service was incredible! Beautiful restaurant both inside and out, gorgeous ocean view. Our waitress Katie was such a delight! Celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here~unforgettable wonderful experience! The grouper special was so yummy, and the Georgia peach dessert was amazing!

Sadly cannot recommend the reserve in any way. Had reservations for Christmas day. The seating of guests was chaotic and disorganized. Our waitress was apologetic and hardworking, but overall a poor experience. Upon sitting at our table we noticed our water glasses were dirty, lipstick on one. Bread was hard. Food mediocre, definitely not worth the inflated prices. The horseradish sauce for the steak had no taste. The asparagus was burnt. 18 percent gratuity charged without informing us, therefore we added 20 percent on top of ridiculous total, for a meal and experience that was severely lacking.

This is a great location and nice ambience but was a terrible dining experience. Our adventure started out nice enough.. friendly banter with our server going over menu. We ordered and food came out quickly. When our server checked back, she was informed that my partner's vegetable option was too tough to eat. She turned without a word, and left our table quickly.. I thought to maybe try to correct or bring something else, but nothing... no response. When she came back the next time, my partner informed her that he really didn't like the dinner. No response except to walk away. My dinner had the promise of something really good.. Eggplant- but unfortunately the eggplant was very salty. The accompanying sauce was amazing but there was nothing to eat with the remaining sauce. Bread was not served nor did it appear to be an item that could be ordered. For a restaurant that advertises as a steakhouse, I was surprised there were only 2 choices for steak. My partner had eaten there twice on a previous trip and had a great experience. Made this dismal dinner more so.

The food was good except the grits were barely warm. Had to ask for a water and coffee refill, then wait a bit to receive it. Waited several minutes to get our check - no one was around, finally left, went to the hotel desk and asked them to find someone we could pay. It was not a busy time of day.

Delicious food and fantastic service. The fish was excellent. Filet was about the best you can get anywhere at any price. Seriously. But no bread plate? Though it was odd maybe they ran out? Crab cakes were also phenomenal. Quality over quantity.

This time, we opted for the seafood platter, with swordfish as the catch of the day. The oysters, shrimp, apple coleslaw, and fish were top notch, and I can heartily recommend the peach trifle and chocolate cake for dessert. Their coffee is excellent as well.

I must say I was a little hesitant to add this to our itinerary based on the Google reviews. After reading the reviews some seemed a little nit picky, so we decided to give it a shot. We couldn't have had a better experience or meal. Cameron the waiter was fantastic. The food was even better. The French onion soup was very good and the filet was to die for. I've had a lot of filets in my life, this was right up there with the best of them. The wife got penna vodka with chicken and that too was phenominal. We would highly recommend the reserve, in fact we plan to go back for our last night here. It was so good I felt I needed to leave this review to offset some of the negative ones.

Came here for a late night dinner and a breakfast.We loved the service - Winston took great care of us and checked in at the perfect times.The decor feels a little dated and cheap but the outdoor dining views are excellent.Now the important part; for dinner I had the grouper with sweet potatoes and grilled vegetables, the meal was filled with flavor but the size in comparison to price was rather disappointing (If it was about a half plate more this would be a 5 star review). My wife had the sirloin and it was cooked precisely to her order, however, still felt over priced. The lobster Mac & Cheese is phenomenal and I highly recommend it if you're a fan of a creamy mac. The selection overall is pretty good and there is plenty of different alcohols to choose from. Great choice if you're staying at the Westin and convenience is your priority.For breakfast we had the southern scramble which was very good and a decent portion size. The quality was superb, the price left you yearning for more.

This place is nice. One thing I do suggest is they put prices on their menu. Nowhere in store or online are prices located until you check out. If you are wandering it does cost $.72 per ounce of frozen treats. So we had 32.4 ounces between two people. That makes it $12.50 per cup of frozen yogurt. Enjoy.

Very nice frozen yogurt place. The interior is very clean and modern. Just be careful about how much you put in the cups. They make the cups big on purpose so you get more!

The place was in shambles inside. Flys everywhere, only one employee, food all over the floor and counter, kids just having an all out free for all on the machines and toppings. Every other frozen yogurt bar I’ve ever been to hasn’t allowed kids to get their own stuff and today I saw why. It was the hottest shop we went into all day, it was so bad inside between the heat and uncleanliness I almost told the kids we’d have to find something else, but we continued on anyways. This was definitely some of the most pricey frozen yogurt as well. Pretty disappointing.

Fuse Yogurt Shop on Jekyll Island is one of our favorite destinations while visiting Georgia’s east coast. The interior is nothing fancy, but it is modern and clean. Eating this yogurt gives you the same feeling when you eat something you really enjoy. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of flavor options, and all those toppings, especially the fresh fruit and walnuts soaked in maple syrup WOWWWWW! Go get you some…

Yummy Froyo!! Self serve. We was greeted by a nice girl as we walked in. She explained how it worked since we had never been before. We went on a Friday which happened to be $5.00 Friday! Any weight and toppings for $5. We was very pleased with the experience and ate outside at their little tables.

My cup of froyo was absolutely delicious. I had the Vava vanilla and it was sooooo good. The environment was also fun, relaxing & very clean. The employees were all friendly and very helpful.

Most of the staff are helpful and friendly. Prices are pretty high but expected for the area. The older guy in the ice cream / pie section is a bit of a tool. If you do pickup a slice of pie beware it’s expensive as hell for a teeeeny tiny slice (1” wide by maybe 3 or 4” long for $8.99 . Grocery stores nearby became our go to for island shopping.

Pricey compared to other markets, but the Market is GREAT. They have knick knacks that other places don't have.

The fried shrimp was excellent and the best food I had on Jekyll Island. Cole slaw was good too but the other sides might be better.

Great little market with a little bit of everything, the baked goods section is great and they offer fresh sandwiches and such in the back by the deli. The kids each got a little shopping cart to play bumper carts with and make mommy nervous, especially near the well stocked wine isle. Also the staff here is incredible friendly and willing to give the kids extra free samples so they behave at checkout. Love this place and all the yummies here!

This market is an experience! They have a little bit of everything! You can get ice cream, lunch, or a beverage and sit at one of the tables outside. Or you can shop for groceries including produce, meats, seafood, deli, spices, candies, toiletries, pretty much anything you'd need. They also have clothing and gift items! It's a small one-stop shop!

Yes they are pricey don't go here for a bargain jeaf to the actual grocery stores near by, good for grabbing quick items, something to eat, or souvenirs. The mark up is due to proximity likely, but staff was helpful and engaging. If you live here this place is very important and when you see the price you need to consider who "lives on the island".

This is the most spectacular place I have been in, in a while. Not only does it have everything for all your eating needs but also trinkets and more galore!! Also The Love Shack and a dessert smorgasbord is located inside this Glorious Marketplace!! I most definitely recommend a visit for a look see and don't forget to grab ya goodies while there!!

Cute little place that has all that one would need. However, the cashier/man at the ice cream counter was extremely rude and made many snide comments about the flavors we chose. I regret purchasing from them as the particular employee from there made me feel inadequate and dumb when we were just there to grab a quick snack.

My husband and I were visiting from Illinois, my husband put his bag containing his wallet and a few other items on a bench and forgot it. We reached out to the State police they checked lost & found to no avail. We received a call and voice message from a wonderful man, Derek, who was so kind. Derek is sending our backpack bag to us in Illinois COD, how many people would do that!! Thank you Derek. The market has so many good items, I had purchased two really nice bracelets for my young nieces. If you are visiting the Island check them out for good things and the kindness.

This store has everything. It felt like any local market that you run to in a town that doesn’t have a major shopping chain. Only downside is the prices. Expect to spend vacation level prices for normal things. A bag of Doritos and a can of quest was $15. Aside from that, I loved this store.

Great place to shop for souvenirs, snacks, sweets and food from The Love Shack!!! Right in the middle of everything. We visited several times during our visit.

Poor food and poor service. We didn't expect much, and were still underwhelmed. Ordered two brats and two paninis. 35 minutes later, the brats were charred, but not even warm. Not much comment from staff as to the delay. No chicken salad or onions were available either.

Cute food shop in Jekyll Island Resort Club. Hot dogs are popular, but this place sells other food like pulled pork sandwhiches and more. The hot dogs were a good pick me up for us after swimming and draws a crowd that wants to pick up something quick to eat. Spacious area to sit and eat. The hot dogs come with pickles and chips. Not a fancy place but so homey and comforting.

We just so happened to walk in looking for a drink and we stayed for an hour shopping and getting food for our beach trip.They have a small BBQ restaurant inside. There's also a fresh cut deli section. They have full service isles of groceries also, frozen foods, canned goods, and much more! It's a one stop shop if you're in the area and need a few oddball things.We got the rotisserie chicken, grapes, strawberries, and a few beach items. It was under $50. Lots of tables for sitting and enjoying ice cream or anything else that was bought in the Market.

It's great if it's open. Fun menu, high quality product ordering systems awful you check a box on a piece of paper for one sandwich. It makes sense if I was ordering 6 sandwiches but for just one it's a bit much. Inside the market, store is cluttered but there's lots of snack options.

First off let me say the sandwiches well very tasty... Saying that there were a few issues... The person reviewing the orders was hard to deal with. Second I was overcharged buy 6 dollars and you aren't given a receipt to verify your order. Beware and double check your cost before you order

Went in to buy sandwiches to go for our picnic. We were abruptly told they were still on breakfast and not making lunch, which would start at 11:00 am. It was 10:55 am. With that attitude, I would not stick around, nor would I go back. They need some lessons in customer service.

My wife and I had the Longboard (London broil, pastrami, toasted) and the High Tide (turkey, swiss, arugula). Both were delicious. The market is pretty hopping and a little disorienting, but the sandwiches were excellent.

Service was friendly, quick, and great! We came for breakfast sandwiches and they were both tasty and a decent size. Highly recommend this spot if you're on the go.

That place is a joke. Never had such a skimpy Reuben.

Well view is nice right by the pool. Drinks were ok. The best for us was the spicy margarita. Highly recommend. The food was way way OVERPRICED and nothing to write home about. The ceviche was 14 dollars but what you get was about three shrimp chopped up with fish and seasoning. It was placed in the smallest little bowl ever. All told about 4 tablespoons. The little bag of stale popcorn was 2 bucks. I'd stick the drinks. The atmosphere was awesome and lively. Great place to hang and drink.

We came to Jekyll Island for our 2nd anniversary. Was looking for to the fish & shrimp tacos here. Do not get your tacos blackened. They were overly seasoned & extremely salty. Was so disappointed

When we ordered from Larry's Giant Subs we ordered salad hot dogs and subs. The salads were not fresh, also they did not have all the toppings that were stated on the website. The ice machine was empty, the meats for the salad was very very little, the lunch meat was cut in half and they only used one half. Staff were rude, also when asked for more of certain items, which we ordered, we were told that we will be charged extra. Will bring own food next time, and condiments.

I had a delightful evening experience. The service was excellent, and the food was exceptionally fresh. I ordered the Philly, and the ingredients were not only fresh but also packed with flavor. I requested extra mayo and spicy sauce, which added the perfect kick. Think of this philly, like fine dinning packed with real sirloin steak. My wife opted for the tuna, and it was equally delicious.

Pretty bad experience. Didn't have all of our chips when the food was brought out. I went to the porch with my receipt to explain the issue. This porch has no signs saying 'employees only'. None. Not a single one. I get yelled at by some punk kid that was running food to tables, saying I wasn't allowed to be on the porch. I calmly explain the issue and that I need to get my chips without standing in the long line all over again. His response: I don't care, you aren't allowed in this area so I need you to get out now!' Another employee overheard this and quickly brought my chips out after I left the porch. Still, NO SIGNS OF THIS BEING AN EMPLOYEE ONLY AREA!! Makes me think poorly of all Larry's Giant Subs restaurants.

May be good place for sub’s, but “cheese steaks” not so much. No flavor, not cooked on flat top, not diced up. From Philly, Wee pub kills them on this choice. Just stop selling it.

Centrally located in the village with indoor and outdoor seating. Service was quick and friendly.

Stopped in for a quick dinner during the Holidays. Service was friendly and fast. It had been a while since eating at a Larry's because I moved to an area they don't service. The menu was smaller than I remember but not sure if that was a location specific thing. What we did order was very good and I wouldn't hesitate to patronize a location in the future.

IMPORTANT!! Please check your bank statements! I was there this Sunday, ordered just an 8” Ultimate Sub, no drinks or chips. I gave them a $2 tip as they seemed busy. However, today checking my account I got billed twice. One was the correct amount and the second was definitely not my purchase. I was advised to contact Larry’s first as it maybe a mistake. Let me tell you, I’ve called and called, no one answers! At one point someone did pickup the phone only to leave it off the hook so when I called again all I got a busy tone. That’s okay though, I gave them a chance and now I’ll dispute it. The ONLY thing is when you get your food, they take your ticket. I have NO receipt.

Great food, great service! Very clean and great atmosphere for a sub shop. Line moved fast and we ended up with a seat. We went twice on the most recent trip and second was even better.

The store was clean, the employees were helpful, nice, and friendly. I normally don’t eat hot subs, but decided to try one. I guess it’s just not my thing. It wasn’t bad, but I would have preferred something else. My partner and split a foot long gluten free sandwich. We were satisfied, but kinda wanted more. I’ll try a cold sandwich next time.

Typical sub shop. I was not at all impressed with the Philly cheese steak sub. Very skimpy on both meat and cheese. We ate in--It was nice that staff brought the sub to the table.

The staff at Larry's are super friendly and helpful. Our subs were fresh, tasty, and well priced. We were the 1st customers to purchase from their newly added beer selection. We highly recommend eating at Larry's on Jekyll Island.

This is absolutely one of our favorite spots for lunch on Jekyll Island! They have never disappointed us with any of the subs we tried! Sub was always fresh and delicious! The staff is truly friendly and makes sure everything is perfect for you! I highly recommend trying the Jake's hoagie, but any sub I have tried has been great! 🤗

We enjoyed lunch on the patio. The workers were great, food was delish. & will be back. We both ordered cold subs & both were a hit! Thanks again!

Very good food. Great, friendly and fast service. Clean restaurant and cute set up! Between 10-15 a sub!

Subs were average at best. Cuban was sub roll pressed down, and muffaletta was sub roll with different condiments. Decor was interesting and single bathroom was clean.

Kendall was our server. She was absolutely amazing!! There was a mixup with my dinner, and she made it right with a fantastic suggestion. She was very engaging and made us feel welcome. She is a class act. Very kind, professional, and engaged. Best server! Hands down!! Sang praises to her manager. We have been coming here for a long time and she is top notch for sure!!! Thank you Kendall!!

Probably the best in-house dining I've had at a Marriot. The staff was attentive and nice, the food was cooked fairly quick, and the food tasted great. The prices are not bad and I will definitely bring my family here again in the future. We had the steak quesadilla, the chicken salad sandwich, and lots of chicken tenders for the kids. There were no leftovers.

We came here specifically for a pumpkin spice latte. There were 3 people behind the counter and they were not busy, so I must have been invisible. One person was standing behind the register and after a few minutes looked up and asked me what I was waiting on… I had not even ordered yet. I ordered and not one more word was spoken. No thank you, have a good day… nothing.Latte was average, place was small and visibly needed cleaning and service was horrible. Next time we will go off the island for coffee.

They actually made my coffee last week. This week they say I have to make it myself because they “aren’t a Starbucks.” We paid for expensive coffee that didn’t even taste like Starbucks and we had to make ourselves. It seems that it is good when not busy but when it is busy these two girls don’t want to work. It is a blonde girl and a dark haired girl. Very rude and very lazy.

I ordered a simple vanilla iced coffee with cream. I had to make my own coffee even though I saw a girl in front of me order the same thing but hers was made for her. Because I had to make it myself it tasted horrible. I refuse to pay almost $5 for a small coffee I had to make myself. This location’s service is pathetic. I used to come here all the time and never had this problem. Get your stuff together.

Honestly, the worst Starbucks I have ever set foot in. I would rather drive 20 minutes to SSI to get a coffee than go to this place. Seriously, if you want a coffee, just go to the restaurant and have it in a to go cup. The coffee at the restaurant is great!

Can't say I've ever had a good experience here. Half the time they are never open even when it says they are. The food was still half frozen when served and the pastry was stale. Never once gotten a coffee order right. Not worth the price at all! Your time is better spent going somewhere else I promise that. Plus the staff is very rude! Customer service is abysmal at best.

My husband and I went by the cafe at 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning on 12/18. There was 2 people working and 1 customer at the register in the cafe. Both doors entering the cafe was locked. Cafe hours are 6:30-3:00. They wouldn’t answer the knocks on the door. When the customer was leaving we asked aren’t you open? The woman stated we are on a break. I guess it’s the sign of the times. People chose when they want to work.

The woman who works here is snotty. This woman runs out of coffee and food daily and wonders why people are not happy. The decaf coffee tasted too strong and like dirt. If this is Starbucks coffee does not taste like it. But was mostly rude to not only us but rude to other customers

Terrible experience and employee attitudes to the point that I had to ask the front desk if it was operated separately from the hotel. Of course that is the case. Hard to believe they continue to allow it given the rest of the property and amenities. Steer clear if staying at the Westin.

Located inside the hotel, we popped in for a last drink of the day and for my friend to use the coupons she had gotten as she is a guest of the hotel. They have a few different varieties of wine and several local beers available. It's a very nice spot that overlooks the beach with plenty of seating on their patio to enjoy the beach. Good service, nice spot.

Quaint restaurant. I had appetizers (bacon wrapped scallops and truffle fries). #Wonderful Demetrius was great!
