Education

When there are conjunctions to the South Node in synastry (your South Node on one of their planets or theirs on one of yours), the South Node person’s entire way of being resonates with one of the other’s planetary functions. For example, their South Node is on your Saturn, and their entire way of being somehow correlates with your work in the world, your maturation process, or some kind of hard lesson (a Saturn cliche but for a reason). Their South Node is on your Venus, and their very history of being relates with your values and your aesthetic, like thekind of person you’ve been waiting for.

When your South Node is touchedby another person, that function of their personality represented by that planet brings you into a psychic space that goes far back – synchronicity can be more likely to occur, and they feel oh so familiar, like maybe you’ve known them for a series of lifetimes. And you potentially have – or you’re just in a similar archetypal vortex that has you getting each other like no one else does.

Stories? Please share your experiences with South Node/planet conjunctions from your relationships here!

I get the feeling that beyond romanticizing the fated-feeling of these relationships, (which is like Eden when it works and heartbreakingwhen it doesn’t) there is significant personal growth and self-knowledge potential through these encounters.

My North node Taurus 2nd house / South Scorpio 8th….. and my Synastry matches up with my partner with his Taurus 8th house.

I feel like I have been avoiding the “intense”ness of sexuality and now that I know this – idk if this is helpful for my evolution or confusing my and distracting….

Having Sag Rising, like we do, pulls in relationships to allow us to not only take care of people in our lives, but to bring higher wisdom to ourselves and others in our lives. SAG Rising is exalted. You can be grateful that you are a good example for others. Leo on the 9th house of SAG means you’re here to teach higher wisdom like I do (Leo with Sag Rising) 😉

My south node conjunct his Moon in Cancer, 11th house for both of us. We went to the same college and knew of each other, but never talked. Twenty years later we met up online and immediately felt a connection. We had both had very similar profound psychotic episodes and hospitalizations exactly one year apart from each other a few years before. Later I realized that I had actually met him(his higher self or future self is how I’d describe it) during that experience(not actually in the flesh, but it was real. He, somewhere in time(?), was my guide through that experience. It really blew my mind to meet him in the flesh. I didn’t think I’d meet him in this life. There was and still is SO much synchronicity surrounding things having to do with our lives and relationship. It is like no other relationship I have ever had. We also have contacts on the other side(Cap.) as well.

I just broke up with someone i felt was my soulmate. We only dated… from beginning of saturn retro, ending as saturn ended retro. I had intense dreams about and with him that felt like they were happening in another dimension or a memory of a past life. This hypothesis may be why….

My husband’s South Node is conjunct my Venus; my South Node is trine his Moon/Saturn and square his Jupiter. We met one night twenty years ago and we have been together ever since. Our lives just seemed to merge at the moment we met. We are actually astro opposites: I’m a Leo, he’s an Aquarius. I have Aries Rising, he has Libra Rising. I have Moon in Scorpio, he has Moon in Taurus. An additional note: I have had two very long term relationships (14 yrs and now 20 yrs), both have Venus at 10 Pisces, which doesn’t aspect anything closely in my chart, but is in the sign of my North Node.

Sounds like some fruition-based South Node conditions. 🙂 It is interesting that you work together well being opposites – polarity can be challenging! Sometime I might be asking more questions of couples – stay tuned. I would love to hear more.

I’ve recently met someone–my Saturn is conjunct his S. Node, among other strong aspects. He wants to be “Cyberpals.” I feel there’s much more to it. We live far, far from each other. Not sure what to do at this point. He seems pretty resistant, but I’m more open to some kind of relationship. Just don’t call it “Cyberpals”!!!

my south node conjunct his venus and his south node conjunct my venus. I heard this is a horrible placement.. we will most likely break up. I hope not. Completely scared about that. He and I get along so well.. i don’t even know what i’ll do if he breaks it off with me.

my venus is at perfect conjunction with his mars, mercury, and south node. and 5 degs off from his sun in the 10th house.

his venus is conjunct my south node in the 8th house

He pursued me like no other. He is RIDICULOUSLY romantic. In fact, when we first met, the first words out of his mouth were, “hello, I’m your future husband.”

today we are engaged.. i hope to God we don’t break up.

Good to have found this board. We have strong Pluto connections to begin with. His Pluto is Conjunct my Sun in Virgo. My Pluto is square his Sun in Gemini. And his Pluto is Conjunct my South Node. The relationship has been intense from the start. Then when we became emotionally attached, all hell broke loose. Issues of control and manipulation, fear of abandonment in him vs. fear of rejection in me were triggered. Projections and obsession abound. We came face to face with our inner unresolved open wounds of the past, not to mention past lives. It was far too intense, we scared each other off. So while we do not hate each other, we keep our distance. We know that quitting leaves matters unresolved, yet the challenge of coming face to face with our fears and open wounds of the past are just too much at this point in time. Yet the greatest healing is the reward if we can manage it.

I’ve met a man 2 months ago. Randomn meeting and instant familiarity and feelings of being comfortable and instant trust between us. We like the same things and feel the same way about life…
He is getting over a karmic relationship. Her sun conjuncts his south node… He is lost and heartbroken… Can’t shake her yet and forget her. His venus and sun conjuncts my south node. My sun sextiles his south node. We like each other, have a mutual respect and appreciation of one another but I am staying friends with him until he gets over the hurt of his last relationship. It is the most difficult thing I had to do. A part of me wants to let go completely and another part wants me to hang on to see where this goes. There is a strong instant bond between us that is hard to forget even though I try to not think of him so much. It’s a struggle.

All I know is that I have south node in gemini and romantically that is probably the very least sign I’m attracted to ESPECIALLY if they have mars there, ugh. I always claimed that I wasn’t attracted to that position, but then I dated two guys who had Mars there recently and my theory was correct. I’m really dedicated to living life via my North Node guide map, so maybe that’s why I’m so repulsed! (I also have mars in cancer so Idk… it’s so airy. I’m sun/moon/venus aries, scorp rising). Any guys I’ve been in love with had 0 gemini. would like to keep it that way….. I’m partially joking… but mostly not lol.

My beloved Twin Flame, the King of my Soul, the great Love of my life and i build the following South Node Conjunctions.

His South Node & Moon conjunct my Mars.

My South Node & DC conjunct his Venus.

I cannot how much i love this holy being, he is the Man of my dreams, i never loved anyone more than him and i will never ever love someone like him. He is all i ever imagined. My whole life i was searching and longing and then he entered my life and my journey stopped, i finally found my home. No one ever, embraced me tight and perfect like him.
He was my Paradise, my Heaven on earth.
It was magic and i would have done everything to make our miracle life long lasting, but destiny only gave us 6 years and months with interruptions, the obstacles in this life were too huge for him and he decided to push me out of his life.

He was always gentle, soft and tender but on the seperation day he pushed me away,i felt like Bambi, thats the way the Universe wanted the ending, rough and tough as we never were.

I met someone in college who felt instantly familiar to me. We became friends but he had a serious girlfriend so although we were friends for four years, nothing ever happened, but it felt like a dull ache I could never get rid of. He just understood me and vice versa in a way no one had before. When I did our charts, not only was his south node conjunct my moon Neptune conjunction, his south node and my north node were conjunct in the same degree.

I found this article looking for some insight into an intense connection I have with a man whose South Node is conjunct my Moon in Aquarius, and his Moon in Virgo is trine my North Node in Capricorn. We fell into a passionate but brief love affair from the moment we met 15 years ago, which resulted in a pregnancy that I didn’t go through with, a decision that sounded the end of the intense energy between us. Years later while I was living in Japan I vividly dreamt his father died, so searched for him on line and made contact, and his father had indeed just passed away. We’ve moved in and out of each other lives since, and we’ve recently reconnected passionately again, after the end of a long relationship of his. Our chemistry is something neither of us has ever known and we are currently living in different states, but I can’t stop thinking about him and feel so drawn to being with him. It’s the most comfortable, natural, easy, sexy, exciting and fun relationship I’ve ever had, but I have no idea what’s going to happen. I also have my Sun exactly conjunct his Neptune in Sagittarius, and my Venus in Scorpio conjunct his Uranus so there are other strong energies at play but I can imagine spending the rest of our lives travelling and creating a joyful and fulfilling existence. We’ll see.

Wow! Married 42 years. His Saturn Pluto is conjunct my south node. My Mercury in Leo is a 2nd house placement and his Saturn Pluto is 12th. I’m hoping that when I stop or let go of this I have completed the karmic dance. I just can’t hang in for another round of emotional abuse. He can’t embrace his unconscious issues and I’m worn out.

I recently met this guy we’re drawn to each other but honestly our connection isn’t as intense as I would like for it to be but its still strong and comfortable. I dont know his rising and we’re still new an distant but….

    My south node an Venus
    are conjunct His Moon Aries

His south node an Venus (an his mercury an sun) are conjunct my Moon Cancer (an my lilith)

Personally I think he’s super into me but im more reluctant because I’m afraid of this being a karmic relationship. Again we’re long distance right now and have been on in person dates an we vibed. We’re very comfortable with each other as if we were family or friends in a previous life…….not really lovers. I feel comfortable with him but not that intense desire of love/lust that I felt with a previous guy I dated. He’s super into me but im the reluctant one. He’s entering his saturn return (Aquarius) and mine (Pisces) starts when his ends. I want to be with him but that desire for him is waning more than I’d like 8t to.

For both my parents, my Sun is close to their South Node. Reading this post was helpful to me because I’ve mostly always seen my parents as dismissive of who I am really, but there was a level of familiarity as well as you pointed out. There were a lot of other issues between us and I’ve had to do a lot of soul searching and therapeutic work on myself, but we’re getting there. Thanks!
